Friday Funny with Yet More Coffee

Hi there!  We just got back from a three day get away in our comfy little travel trailer and it felt like pure heaven to me.  Gosh, I needed that.  I was completely disconnected while we were gone, so I've got a little catching up to do with my blog visiting, but I'll get there.

Since I sat down here to do a quick email I thought I might as well share another coffee card while I was at it.  I don't know what got into me with the coffee cards.  Stella was colored up for a friend's birthday.  Totally not birthday-related, but my friend's a coffee drinker and she enjoyed the humor.

Stella is a Bugaboo digital stamp called "Frame It - Stella - Drink Coffee".  She's colored with Copics and has quite a bit of glitter added, along with some white gel pen dots which you can barely see in the photo.  Using more of this old Stampin' Up paper while I had it out, too.

Now that we're back I've got a lot of laundry to catch up on, so I'd better hop to it and then I've got a date with the couch.  I'll see you again soon.  Enjoy your weekend!

Leslie, so glad you were able to get away for a few days, it's pure heaven indeed! Oh your card today is perfect for a coffee lover! I love Stella images, although I seldom colour them, but I do have a few. I always like how you display them on your cards. Fabulous colouring and love all the glitter and white pen dots, just that little bit really adds to your finished card! So glad it's Friday, still re-cooping from a terrible cold, I haven't worked on cards in almost 2 weeks, just feel drained at the end of a work day. Anyway, have a good day, and enjoy the 'couch"!

Well, Leslie, you did it again! Me chuckling at this adorable card and the humorous sentiment was a great way to begin this Friday.
I was inspired by your digital-stamp card with the Verve pumpkins to get the set, find out how to print digitally and made two cards and mailed them. Love not spending much and it was so fun, thanks to you.
Glad you had a great get away. Nice to rest up now, isn't it?

Love love LOVE how you made everything else drab (as if you could ever make something drab) and the caffeine laden coffee so full of bright, vibrant colors! I haven't seen this image before, and it really makes me laugh. Would you believe I have never had coffee? I tried it 2 times and it just doesn't bode well for me. LOL I don't know anyone else who doesn't love coffee. Maybe Lulu would keep me company? LOL The nice thing about birthday cards (in my opinion) is that they can be customized for the recipient. Seldom do mine say "happy birthday" - they usually say something I feel about them, or something humorous that they would like. So I think this is the perfect BD card! It's fabulous, Leslie, and you always choose the right papers to go with them! xx
PS - good thing I don't drink caffeine. I already do stupid things rather quickly LOL

Leslie, this is a hoot! You had me laughing out loud with this one. I could think of people like this. You add so much to your cards to make them come alive! Glad you could get away for a bit. I too have laundry. Thanks for the morning laugh.

SO glad you were able to get away for a few days in your new 'home away from home'! And, really glad you enjoyed it! Some people find it difficult being 'disconnected' but you have the right attitude and that's awesome!! Your card is toooo funny and your friend will love it! Of course, I can't say enough about your coloring ... always TOP NOTCH! Thanks for the chuckle! Now I need to get back to MY laundry ... and still working on craft show stuff. LOL HUGS and Happy Halloween Weekend! We're expecting 100-150 kids to come through ... hope I have enough candy! LOL
