This is the last of my gold, black, and white Christmas cards. I got a little fixated on the color combo this year, but I'm all better now. It's very elegant, which I am not, so I don't know who I'm going to fool with these cards. They look like something a business would send out. However, I do like them. They were being a little camera shy, so not such great pictures.
The first card uses a Memory Box Glowing Candles die in mirror gold cardstock.
Both cards use a retired Stampin' Up! sentiment -- Many Merry Messages -- stamped in Versamark and embossed with Ranger Queen's Gold. I also used some gold peel and stick trim on each card.
The second card uses a Die-Namites Partridge Branch die in a satin gold cardstock.
Simplicity like this helps move things along in the Christmas card production, that's for certain. I think I have 25 cards done now, which is about half of what I need. Hmmm... do I see some purchased cards in my future?
Thanks so much for stopping by. I do enjoy our visits. Have a good day!

I have actually thought about purchasing Christmas cards this year. I just can't bring myself to do it but there are lots of beautiful ones out there. These are simply beautiful. They have a touch of class and the gold is not "in your face". Have a great Black Friday!
Oh wow! They are really elegant and so beautifully done Leslie! 50 already? I think I'll definitely have to get going or maybe just buy some!
Both of these are just stunning! LOVE the gold! Once again, you have given me another idea to play with! I can see why you got fixated on the combo! It's gorgeous! Hope you had a happy turkey day!
OH NO YOU DON'T!! Purchased cards is NOT an option! If I can get mine done (60 ... have 10 done, ... that's what I get for making them available for sale at the craft shows this month lol) then you can too! LOL
These are gorgeous and a great idea! I was kind of thinking along those lines too! I have so many gorgeous holiday dies I think I might have to keep my cards CAS this year ... out of my comfort zone but at least they will be done and pretty too!
Hope you had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving! I'm working on laundry, cleaning, taking down Fall decorations so I can get started on my Christmas decorating. That annual neighborhood party will be here before I know it! That said I'd better get hubby busy on the menu ... his department! LOL HUGS sweet friend ... have a great weekend!
Good morning Leslie..we are up to 3 1/4" of rain in our rain gauge since last night at 7. No flooding, but sure soggy wet! Would rather have than snow.
I am behind on my cards too, but thinking I may have to choose a CAS design or two that I have already made to catch up. A store bought card is not in the plan. I am sure you can catch up too.
Your newest cards are very elegant and CAS. Even if not your style I am sure someone on your Christmas list will swoon over them. Happy Stamping, Nancy
I am so behind on making cards this year, but refuse to purchase cards unless they are for those who don't appreciate the hand made ones. These two are absolutely gorgeous. Good to have some simple designs.
very nice. Neat interpretation BIG GRIN. Have a great day
These are super elegant. I love the little borders around the black. I have that candle die. hmmmm I think there is a blog where you make a Christmas card every week. maybe we should start participating in it then we would not be scurrying at the end.
I think these cards are so elegant! I especially like the first one. It also reminds me to use the peel and stick which are in a drawer some place! That die makes a great image on the card! Well, back to cleaning up from yesterday - hope you had a great day!
Stunning elegant CAS Christmas cards Leslie! love your colour choice, gold mirri looks fantastic on black card..perfect for mailing..I do keep trying although out of my comfort zone! lol.
Hugs Pam x
Leslie these are both Stunning! Love the black and gold - so, so elegant! Love the gold peel offs, it just adds that much more elegance to your cards.Good for you for having 25 done already, but I'm with everyone else on the "NO" purchased cards! I often think of it every year, but then think of all the disappointed recipients when the would see it was store bought and not hand made, so I push through every year. I am so far behind once again. Still working on one more order of 8, then I can get mine done, oh and then I have girls at work asking too. Every year I say I will make a couple every month to take the load off come the following Christmas but I never stick to it! I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.
Your gold and black creations are wonderful, Leslie! I especially like your first card - the gold actually appears to be highlighted with white! Guess the camera captured it that way? Beautiful designs. I've pretty much decided not to send many cards out this Christmas because I don't have many made LOL - maybe next year I'll do better? LOL wishing you a fantastic week-end! hugs, de
I love the gold and black combo, I never would have thought of doing that but I just love the look of them, that embossing powder is a nice gold, I am not to happy about my gold embossing powder. Love the black texture with the smooth of the gold, so pretty together!
I like that you fixated on them as they are beautiful and classy! The simplicity makes for some great cards as well. Wonderful set of cards Leslie.
Your family and friends will never forgive you if you purchase cards! No way! Both cards are such elegant beauties! You can't beat black and gold!
I'll say it again - you have the best dies, Leslie!!! Such elegance in these cards - they are so beautiful.
Beautifully created, , I am not elegant either, but who wouldn't want to receive them, they are so pretty!! You are getting a great collection of dies and have enabled me many a time to purchase! Have a wonderful week!
Wow, are these gorgeous with the striking black and gold! I love them and agree that the foil edges really are lovely!! Yes, no bought cards! Hehe! Hugs!
