Autumn Critters and Autumn Window

Might as well finish up the week with one more card and make it something on the lighter side.  These critters tickle my funny bone and, hey, I've seen them all outside my window.  That's probably a moose, though, isn't it?  I do not see moose outside my window, but plenty of deer.  This is Bugaboo's Autumn Critter Stack 02.

They're colored with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card.  I covered the card base with some old BasicGrey Origins papers and added leaf accents and a candy dot.

Speaking of "outside my window"...

That's one angle of the view from my new stamp room window.  I'm blissfully happy to have this in front of me when I sit and color, rather than a blank wall.  See any of those critters out there?   Hmmm... not today, but it does look rather autumn-ish, doesn't it?

And, speaking of critters...

Here's my Dooby Doo (LuLu) with two toys and a piggy.  Just thought I'd throw that in 'cuz she's so cute.

Back to the card...

Now that I have the window, my (ahem) ultra-sophisticated photography set up involves setting a card on top of one of my stamp-containing photo boxes and snapping a quick pic.  The work space is lit with two Ott lamps, so that balances out the light.  It may not be magazine quality, but it's easy and natural and I can't help but love the dappled green in the background.

I'll leave you now with a list of card ingredients and a wish for a happy weekend.  Take care!

Stamps:  Bugaboo Autumn Critter Stack 02, Stampin' Up! All Year Cheer 1 (sentiment)  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, white card base, YoYo Yellow, BasicGrey Origins designer paper  Ink:  Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Stickles Stardust glitter glue, candy dot, Taylored Expressions Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, Impression Obsession Small Leaf Set

What a gorgeous view from your window, Leslie - how awesome! I love my stamping room, but it doesn't have windows. I can at least see outside through the double doors. And Lulu is so beautiful! What a great picture. Love your card, too:) Have a great weekend.

Hi, Leslie - so much to say - and see - LOL My first thought looking out your window was, "How does she keep her windows so clean?" And then I read that it was your new window and I felt better LOL We wash our windows (it does not matter what time of year) and within the week, they are streaked with tiny webs and critters - no keeping them clean - and lets not even get into dog drool on the big windows and doors LOL

I saw this new Bugaboo image and was tempted, but not sure how I would color it! NOW my imagination is happy, after seeing your beautifully colored image, and I can even think of other ideas! Hmmmm, maybe I should get it after all? LOL I like the alternating colors of brown tones, the sprigs of green, the pop of yellow, and that incredible orange pumpkin on the moose. Does that mean the moose is a "punkin' head" ??? LOL I especially like the patterned papers peeking from behind.

Lulu is so cute - Kilo is not a "playful" dog because of the way he was raised (he was a rescue for us). Kilo is more service and work oriented. But other other shepherds and golden LOVED playing with toys. our golden's fave toy was for me to take old panty hose, tie an empty milk jug to each end of the hose, and he would run with those two jugs, shaking them back and forth, as though pummeling his sides with the empty jugs was great fun! Our Belgian Shepherd loved empty containers with screwed on tops. When the water, milk, etc jug was emptied, he would not rest until I cleaned it out, and handed it to him, WITH THE CAP SCREWED ON. He would box the container all over the place, and finally settle down to chew off the cap. Once the cap was off, playtime was over, and into the recycle bin went the toy.

Critters are so funny! Darling personalities, and amazingly full of love and loyalty!

As for your display outside your craft room window - that was a printed photo you blew up - right? LOL BEAUTIFUL garden, and I cannot imagine having those shapes and colors here in Florida - even when we lived in southern CA we could grow dynamically colored flowers which cannot handle the temperatures here. So I thoroughly enjoy the photos my bloggy friends share.

Guess I've rambled long enough, Leslie. It was delightful spending my morning with you! love, de

Oh my goodness you certainly find the most fun stamps with great expressions, I love it and your coloring of them is just great, I so love your shading! Love the patterned leaves to top it off!!
Oh wow now look at the window, that is nice and big, I bet you are totally thrilled with it, I would love that much natural light, I have my desk in front of a window too but taking pictures on my desk just doesn't work out, my lighting is never good enough there.
Your pic of Lulu is just too cute, she is making sure she has all her toys :)
That is so cool that you have all that wildlife around your home, I do hear that they can get into things though so I imagine that would be a bit of a problem.

Your card is so adorable, all the details are great, I especially like the stitching around the shapes. I love your window view. Goodness gracious you are so blessed to have such a beautiful place to stamp. I'm trying to remain thankful for my closed in porch facing 4 lanes of traffic and a train yard. LuLu is adorable. How super sweet. My dog loves his toys too. I think you have a fabulous blog.

First of all, what a gorgeous view you have with your new window! Love it. I love having a window in my room that faces out to the backyard where the bird feeders are. I find myself easily distracted watching them, that sometimes my card making takes forever. Oh well! Now onto your card, so adorable, love these critters, such a happy card it makes me smile. Those little die cut leaves are so sweet, and nice finishing touch. Oh and thanks for sharing a picture of Lulu - so is so beautiful.

Oh I can't say enough about this...I just love it, it makes me smile every time I look at it (I get up in the morning, turn the news on, grab my coffee and my Kindle Fire and look at all that's new before I sit down in my creative room to comment). the image is so cute, I love, love cute images, must be th kid in me still....and this one is a favorite!! What a fabulous new window you have too..wow, I can see why you love your room now! Great pictures of the fur baby Lulu too. I think the girl that has the office next to my hubby's at work has been working on him to get a dog, he brought it up out of the blue last night of how he has been looking online at dogs again...but also how it will tie us down again, we'll see!!

This card is sooo cute!! And the view out your window is fantastic! I would probably find myself doing a little daydreaming instead of concentrating on my cards if I had such a great view! Lulu is definitely on the cute side - love this pose with her toys!

Oh, Leslie! What an amazing and beautiful view you have from your beautiful window! It's gorgeous and would make me inspired to stamp more. I love it and am so excited for you!! And what a giggle your card is. Not sure what he is...a moose or whatever, but they are an adorable stack of critters, all right! Beautifully colored, and your photography is wonderful with the new window. And I too love the dappled green background! Hugs!
