Hello from the Gnome Home

Greetings friends!  It's been too many days since I popped in here.  I've been making cards, but they're all for later.  What happened to the days when I would post at least three times a week?  I miss that.  Life happens and there are no guarantees, but the plan this month is to try and do better.

I'm going to start with one challenge at a time.  Today it's Sunday Stamps Challenge.  They have a sketch this time, which I'll show in a minute.  Thank goodness it's not a CAS challenge because their sketch inspired this card:

I thought I had used the last of my not-yet-used gnome stamps, but I was wrong.  I was looking through the not-yet-used basket when I saw this guy peeking out at me.  He's Stamping Bella's Gnome in a Tree, and since he lives in a tree stump I gave him a woodland setting with Bo Bunny papers, a grounding of grass, and a cute little mushroom for accent.  All retired stuff, I'm sure.

Coloring was done on watercolor paper with Tombow markers -- no water, just markers.

Here's that challenge link again, and the sketch:

Sunday Stamps Challenge #308 -- In The Middle.

I'll also link to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #50.  I'll be linking to this challege a lot as I try to catch up on my various and sundry NBUS.

Thanks for visiting today!  I do enjoy the compay.

Stamps:  Stamping Bella Gnome in a Tree  Paper:  Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140 lb hot press watercolor, SU Crushed Curry (just a little strip showing), Bo Bunny Camp-a-Lot designer paper  Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black (clear embossed) for gnome, Memento Tuxedo Black for sentiment  Coloring:  Tombow markers  Dies:  MFT Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass, Cherry Lynn Faerie Mushrooms, rectangle die from other sentiment set  Other:  Detail clear embossing powder

Happy Sunday!! You did such a great job with this challenge. Gnomes are all the rage now and this one looks so cute hiding in the stump. Your green layer looks like you made it yourself with blending and some leaf stamps. I know what you mean about posting. I'm lucky if I post once a week now. Have a great week!

I have days when I'd love to have a big ol' tree stump to climb into - even better if I had this guy to snuggle up with! Leslie, your gnomie looks right at home-y and cute as a button in the forest you've created with these wonderful papers! LOve it!

Such a cute card. I love the gnome and your woodland scene. I agree that it is harder to find time to spend in the craft room these days. Hope all is well with you, Rich, and the fur kids.

Your gnome peeking out of the tree stump looks great and the green and red look great. Great use of that patterned paper too, it does make it look like that stump is in the middle of a wood. Just do what you can each day. If we see lots of you, that's great, but if we don't, that's OK too. Always love to see your cards though xx

I'm seeing lots of gnomes around Blogland right now. They are so perfect for spring and it makes me want to get out my own NBUS GNOMES! I think you rocked the sketch, Leslie. I love your little guy peering out from his trunk home to say a little hello and your staging skills are superb, too! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

I know what you mean about things getting away from you, I haven't been able to create in 3 days but I have cards yet to post, been trying to do make up of catching up on checking out blogs, will get to them sooner or later.

I adore your cute SB gnome Leslie, and you've colored him in his stump so exquisitely! I don't know if you could have chosen better patterned paper for the background, it carries the forest theme beautifully! Thank you so much for joining our challenge Sunday Stamps!

Oh, this is so adorable, love this little gnome peeking out. I love the scene you created around the image Leslie, the woodland papers, grass, cutest little mushroom die cut, and of course your beautifully coloured tree stump - great details on this, makes it look so real. Leslie, your work is so inspirational, every time I see a piece of artwork from you makes me want to go to my craft room and create. I'm so happy to see this today, even though I'm a little behind.
Wishing you a fabulous day!
