Hello and happy Friday! Yesterday I said I would have one more card today. As it turns out, I have two. It's all about the designer paper today, specifically Ciao Bella Sicilia, chosen for these cards because it prominently features lemons and all that beautiful yellow. You know I love yellow!
Do you see the lemon slices around the edges? I cut this 6x6 piece down to 5 1/4" square to cover the card, then simply added the die cuts -- Memory Box Serene Bird and Branch, and Sue Wilson Creative Expressions Just a Note.
The second card is another piece that did most of the work, but I did add a border for contrast, and a pretty dragonfly and sentiment -- Memory Box Azure Dragonflies, and Sue Wilson Creative Expressions Stacked Thinking of You.
This wraps up a week of citrus and Christmas. It's a lot more crafting than I normally accomplish in a week, but I had some extra down time due to back and foot pain. I'm fine, just had to limit certain activities, and am now feeling quite a bit better.
I'm happy to be playing along in the following inspiring challenge today:
Love Those Pretty Papers -- Anything goes with designer papers, or optional 'birthday'.
I keep saying I'm going to make a point of playing with my paper more often. The Vast Hoard is overflowing with gorgeousness!
I plan to be back tomorrow with some pics of Sophie and the critters that visit our home on the edge of the woods. Maybe I'll see you then. Take care, and have a great weekend!

Both cards are GORGEOUS Leslie! The dsp does take center stage but the added bird & branch and the dragonfly definitely enhance the beautiful papers! You truly have brought the best of both worlds together with the lovely dsp and added elements my friend...lovely, lovely cards!! Hugs. :0)
Love the cards. Both designer papers are gorgeous and worked really well with your arrangements. Have a great day
Both fabulous sunshiny cards, love the beautiful papers and die-cute.

Leslie, I am glad you're feeling better. I am also glad you had more time crafting. These cards are fabulous. YOu sure know how to pull things together, you have a great design eye. Love these.
Boo to the pain but yay to the beautiful paper you used! That's a pretty little blue bird you created and I love that skinny dragonfly. Not like the B52's we see zooming by in our backyard! Wonderful cards, Leslie!
Two delightfully beautiful cards! Sorry about the back and foot pain. I hope it's gone soon. Looking forward to tomorrow's post.
Hey, I had back issues for the last two weeks, too, Leslie - glad you are feeling better!
I'm loving the lemons and Ranunculus in your beautiful paper and your pretty blue 'stars of the cards', too!
Looking forward to those pics you'll share tomorrow!

These cards are so pretty! They are so bight and springy! Of course I love your blue bird and it's so nice when your DSP does so much of the work. Yellow and blue go so well together. We have a nest of bluebirds around us and come each day for some seed and bath in the bird bath. such fun!
More gorgeous paper, Leslie! You have an eye for picking it and these lemony yellow papers are the peak of picking! It pairs beautifully with the pretty bird and dragonfly! I'm glad your back and foot issues are better. It doesn't take much to cause pain and even less to reinjure! Take care!
Your cards are stunning. You are so good with patterned paper. All die cut cards are great too. So much easier to put together and I love all your gorgeous yellows. I am glad you have been forced to slow down a little this week as we reap the benefits too. I always love your cards xx
I agree with the ladies above. You are so gifted for picking the prettiest papers and using them to their fullest! You know I'm a big fan of the yellow too, and the bird! The sentiment die cuts work perfectly. Glad you're feeling a bit better, thanks for sharing with us, Leslie!
WOW this is awesome my friend! I always love seeing what you create! You're always such an inspiration to me! LOVE the birdie and the dragon fly with these fun & fabulous papers! Well done!! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Love Those Pretty Papers challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
