Three More Cards for Christmas in July

Hello friends!  It's good of you to stop by again.

I was determined to devote a good lot of my July card making time to Christmas.  I can't say I made as much progress as I'd hoped, but with these cards I've managed seven for Christmas in July.  It's better than zero.

I focused on not yet used Cottage Cutz again.  These are somewhat simple cards, certainly as compared to my usual.  Nevertheless, they were fun to make and I think rather pretty.  First a window with overhead branches and a little birdie perched on the sill.

I stippled the pine branch corners with white acrylic paint, and applied Stickles glitter to the sill and window pane corners.  Behind the widow is vellum colored on the backside with Copic markers.

The next two cards feature ornaments cut from glitter cardstock.  In the background is one of my new favorite embossing folders from a Spellbinders warehouse sale -- Pinecones & Berries.  The sentiment is an oldie from Stampin' Up.

All the cards are mini-slimline, 3 1/2" x 6".  I like this size as it fits in a standard envelope with no extra postage.

I think that wraps it up for Christmas in July... or not.  We'll see what happens next week.  Believe it or not, I will be back with one more card tomorrow.  Have a happy day!

Stamps:  Retired Stampin' Up  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 110 lb, coppery gold for ornaments, vellum, green scraps for pine bough corners  Ink:  SU Garden Green for sentiments  Coloring:  Copics on vellum for window  Dies:  Cottage Cutz Classic Arched Window, Partridge, Angel 1, Poppystamps Whittle Birds, Wispy Pine Needle Corner, Spellbinders Classic Long Rectangles  Other:  Spellbinders Pinecones & Berries embossing folder, white acrylic paint, Diamond Stickles

These may be simple but I think they're extra special, Leslie! What a great idea using the vellum behind the window and added that bit of red and green. The elegant glitter die cuts are fabulous - such a beautiful festive, card.

These are lovely. The warm glow from your window with the little bird is so nice. Love the stained glass effect too. Your glittery ornaments look great hanging from those pine branches. You have made 7 more cards than I have xx

All three are gorgeous, I love the bird perched on the window sill, but great designs on the other two as well, fun to see your cottage cutz dies being used as well as your EB folder from the warehouse sale, I am waiting for their next sale, like I need more, but I can't help myself!!

Leslie, we need these wonderful simple yet divine designs in our back pockets at Christmas! Love the stained glass in your wonderful window and that itty bitty bird, too!
You've added a beauty to your embossing folder stash, my friend - and it works a charm with the evergreen boughs and sparkly die cuts!

These pine branch corners are so pretty, Leslie! I love how they frame the window and sweet little bird! The embossing folder is a perfect match and the branches look like they are spilling from the background! Such pretty sparkly ornaments! You have done six more Christmas cards this month than I've done.

Your card is so beautiful. Apologies for being MIA, unpacking boxes after moving house has been a huge chore xx

Always love your cards, but these really sang to me, how you coloured the vellum, the adorable bird, the fine pine branches and embossing, gorgeous!
