Sophie and I are back a little sooner than expected, but I wanted to answer Mildred's question as to what breed Sophie is. Hi, Mildred! Sorry I do not have your email, but that's okay... I'm happy to share a little more Sophie on Sunday.
Sophie is an English Cream Golden Retriever. The name has to do with her coat color and certain differences in AKC and BKC standards. The LKM standards are the most important to me -- that's Leslie Kay Miller standards. I just want a friendly, lovable, happy, healthy, active companion, and Sophie is certainly all that.
Here she is on another one of our recent excursions, seeing new sights, smelling new smells.
Pictured below is the object of her attention.
Before we went home they had all become as companionable as they could manage on opposite sides of the fence. Sophie looked for her friends the next time we went to this spot, but they were not to be seen. Her disappointment lasted only until she was distracted by the buzzards flying overhead. She chased after them for a fair distance and then decided to jump off the dock and go swimming.

She certainly is beautiful and looks like she is having the upmost fun!! Our country road only has 4 homes on it, one being ours, but our neighbor across the road and down a bit has a doodle dog too, so we were both out gardening and I drove my gator over to talk with her and her dog Hannah was out (I had left Mack home) and while we were talking a BIG deer entered the yard and the chase was on, luckily she has a fence and the deer jumped it and Hannah stopped, also luckily my Mack wasn't with me or he would of been gone!! The trials and tribulations of country life, sigh!!
I love Sophie Sundays and hearing all about her adventures Leslie! She sure landed the perfect home with you! As usual...give her a big hug from me!! :0)

Looks like you and Sophie are having a lot of adventures! I think it is so interesting to just sit back and watch their reactions. We watched Daisy this weekend while Jennifer and family went to DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival. They definitely keep you on the move! Have a great week!
Thanks, Leslie. When Sophie grew out of her little puppy stage she looked so much like the English retrievers we see (and pet) on our walks. Thanks for the info. LKM are the only standards that matter! Keep sending your beautiful cards, too.
