Friends and Good Vibes

It's true, life is better with friends and I can't imagine being without them.  Two friends enabled me to make today's cards.  Cat sent the sentiment and flowers I used on the first card.  She had stuck everything to a piece of yellow low-tack tape and I love the way it looked so I simply made an almost identical arrangement on yellow cardstock.  Then I adhered that to a pretty frame piece sent by Michele.

Michele sent the Spellbinders Scrolled Punch & Pierce Plate.  In the card above I popped up one of the smaller cuts, and in the card below I used a larger cut for a lacy cover that looks so pretty white on white.  She also sent the Pinkfresh Chrysanthemum washi cuts which I used on the second card.  The sentiment stamped in the open space is from my own Pinkfresh Folk Hummingbird set.

Just having some fun in between projects around the house and yard.  We've had a little sun now and then, but nothing to get too excited about.  I'm still waiting and wondering when spring will be here for real.  Maybe tomorrow.  Wishing you a beautiful day!

Good morning! What a great way to start my day before heading off to work, is to see both of your beautiful floral cards! Love both of these Leslie! Love that you used the arrangement as it was sent to you to create your first card, and your second, love how you showcased the florals using the outer part of the frame. Love the PFS Washi tape florals, they make for stunning cards! TFS, wishing you a lovely day.

Both cards are truly amazing! I love those pretty florals! Spring has been hesitant here as well, there was a chance of frost this morning but none here. I have some tomatoes and cucumbers to transplant today....hoping they will be ok. We just never know from one day to the next!

Both cards are stunning, so cheerful on this cool (but sunny) day in Michigan, just what I needed to get my mojo going! I always love all your beautiful floral cards, you have such a creative way of using them, and the yellow to set off the sentiment is brilliant, all are so pretty!! Have a great week!!

It is so nice that you have used those little gifts. They are both great, but my favourite is the first one. I love that pop of yellow and the dimension that is allowing a shadow to fall on the back of the card. It looks great xx

How wonderful to have such delightful finds in your mailbox, Leslie! Cat's arrangement is perfect on the first card, such pretty details on the flowers. The gorgeous frame is elegant and then I must be WOWed with the details on the cover plate. Stunning creations!

I had a chilly start, but blessed by a gorgeous blue sky and sunshine, Leslie - it ALL got even better after seeing these beautiful cards today!
I was given a new-to-me Empress die cutting machine - I really should test it out with that 'stubborn' die, shouldn't I?
Two gorgeous cards, my friend - so nice to see those flowers - and your darling little birds!

Such soft and pretty cards! The lacy cutouts are so lovely along with the washi tape cutouts. Sounds like you have some very nice friends. Joe wants to have a small garden this year, but I keep telling him to wait as we had frost again last night and they are forecasting it for tonight. They are also calling for a snowstorm up north so I hope it doesn't drift down in our direction!!

wow they are both beautiful and so neat they were from goodies sent from friends! Gorgeous coloring of the first flowers and love how that pierce plate piece frames it. I just love the washi flowers on the second card, I really need to get me some of those :) love how they look with the framing and how they frame your sentiment, so lovely!
We are still getting some frost every now and then but the days warm up so that is nice here, hope you get some good spring weather soon!

Two gorgeous cards and all the better for being made with gifts from friends Leslie! The white on white lacy die cuts are wonderful and make the perfect backgrounds for those beautiful flowers. I love that splash of yellow in the first card too. We are also wondering when spring will arrive over the pond. The general consensus is that we shouldn't hold our breath!! Vicky x

Spring keeps teasing us here in Minnesota, too. Yesterday was beautiful and today is cold and rainy. Oh well - we can use the moisture. Your cards are wonderful, and how cool to get surprises from friends. You used the pieces very well - such awesome cards!
