Hi there! Getting right down to it... I felt inspired to create for two challenges. It's the same Woodware stamp I used on the black watercolor card, but the look of it here is entirely different. Both cards were embossed in gold and colored with Twinkling H2O's... the difference in the outcome is striking. The other was impactful, this one gives the eyes a chance to rest.
Just two colors -- pink and gold. I had to dilute the pink quite a lot to lighten the color, therefore it lacks shimmer. That's okay because there's plenty of shimmer in the golden leaves. The card is 3 3/4 x 6 3/4". I guess I'll call it a midi-slimline.
I used an ancient JustRite sentiment with a circle punch and made it into a tag. The Wicker Weave embossing is an old folder. I can hardly make a card without old meeting new.
The two challenges:
Thank you lots for stopping by. I hope to see you here again soon!

Simply Beautiful!
I like to browse the challenges I enter and your card stood out at Can You Handle the Pressure. Very elegant and beautifully made. Donna http://lakefrontstampingcreations.blogspot.com/
I'm thrilled to see this beauty in our gallery at Color Hues, Leslie! I love the soft pink and all the shine of the gold just makes it stand out even more. The tag and embossed panel add the icing on the cake! I am so with you about mixing the old and the new. There is no better way. You are a pro at it!
You have used our challenge colors just beautifully with this GORGEOUS card Leslie! The soft pink surrounded by all that shiny gold is SO pretty and I'm loving the texture from the embossing folder at the bottom too! Lovely, lovely card! Thanks so much for sharing with us at The Color Hues Challenge!! :0)
LOVE your pink and gold card Leslie. It's amazing how different that same image looks with the different coloured backgrounds and inks. I also love the embossing at the bottom of your card. You always add wonderful details, my friend. xx
This is gorgeous! The goldembossing goes so well with the pink flowers and I like the way you used the embossingfolder.

This is so pretty, Leslie! Those pink flowers totally caught my attention in the gallery. The cute tag greeting was a great touch! Thanks for playing along at Color Hues and making the colors look so good. Take care!
Well, just look at this gorgeous, pink and gold creation. I love that cute little tag. It adds a lot. You’re amazing and I love the way you arrange that spray.
Gorgeous card, love the addition of the embossed bottom panel.
i am loving all the pink and gold cards and your is perfect. That is a brilliant stamp for your soft watercolouring technique that you are so good at. I bet the shine is amazing in real life. I got some Gansai Tambi gem colours for Christmas and have had one play on black watercolour paper so far. Love them, thanks for all your inspiration xx
This is gorgeous, Leslie!!
Old meets new is my favorite style, Leslie! As much as I loved the drama of the twinkling on black my eyes are even happier with this sweet, bright, and beautiful pink and gold!
Absolutely beautifully designed card!

So beautiful Leslie! These is just something about gold and pinks, so pretty and elegant. Wonderful card design, love the wicker weave embossed area on the bottom of the card as well. Love the black watercoloured card as well, but this is much easier on the eyes. Thank you for sharing!
I think it's wonderful to use the old and new together, Leslie! These two play beautifully together and I love the totally different look this stamp has on white!
Echoing the others: your card is stunning, especially in pink and gold! Isn't it grand when old and new products play nicely together! Love what you've designed. So thrilled you joined us at Color Hues!

Twinks again! Each time I see your use of them, I tell myself that I need to take down the huge collection I have and try some...and then I forget. :-)
This floral image is beautiful in pink and gold.
Beautiful light pink and gold floral midi slim card design, Leslie:-) Two wonderful challenges that inspired your card..love that! TFS the close up of the gold shine and texture too. Love and hugs..Nancy
I always love your water coloring but this one is just stunning my friend! I love the image and the colors you chose and the bit of gold just sends it to the next level!
Hello there, I love your card and I just adore the previous one. Sorry I haven't been around, typing is so awkward. I have to wear gloves all the time both for the pain and the fact that they are always blue with cold. I dont expect to hear from the hospital for a while given the backlog situation over here... The NHS is in dire straits. However DH and I are doing okay, staying home mostly and looking forward to summer!!I hope you and Rich and your fur babies are well? Gingerboy is better thankfully but the vet wants £3600 to fix Missy's knees! It's just out of the question so she and I both limp but she is happy enough. Stay well my friend
A beautiful card, I love when you emboss in gold and then color in with those Twinkling H2O's, it is gorgeous and imagine in real life even more so!!
It certainly does look different, I love your soft pink coloring and how you left some of the leaves white, such a fresh clean look to it, I love the gold embossing and the embossing is such a pretty look with it. Love the gold thread you used for the bow too!
Wow, Leslie! Don't they look so incredibly different? I thought I was in love with the previous masterpiece, but this one melts my heart with its softness and love. So beautiful! hugs, de
Such beautiful watercoloring with the Twinkling H20s, Leslie, and the "midi-slimline" size made me chuckle, plus it is genius for adding the pretty embossed panel below. The contrast with the black watercoloring is amazing and both results equally fabulous! Thank you so much for joining us at Color Hues!
Beautiful! Classic and elegant! All the lovely elements and so wonderful to see flowers sparkling... I can usually see snow sparkling out our windows this time of year! lol Glad you painted flowers!
Beautiful crafting and stunning , gorgeous design. Such beautiful colours xx

I agree - it hardly seems like the same stamp! Both are so gorgeous.
Wow that pink and gold is a great combo...stunning card!
What a gorgeous card! I just love the colors you chose. The H2O's did such a great job. What a difference from the other card. Running behind in my visits as things are a little hectic here but so enjoyed seeing this card.
