New Power Poppy Digital Stamp: Hydrangea Hype

Introducing a new digital stamp from Power Poppy:  Hydrangea Hype.  You know I love it, don't you?  Sigh...  I watercolored with Gansai Tambi paints and drew a border with a fine tip gray marker.

This one comes with or without the embedded sentiment, black line or light line, plus an extra sentiment which is perfect for either the inside or the front.

My watercoloring is loose and the colors vary slightly from one bloom to the next.  I looked at the hydrangea outside my dining room window for guidance.  Sometimes that bush produces rich blue blooms, sometimes more delicate like this.  I let the sentiment nestle into the blooms with similar colors, but just enough contrast to make it noticeable.

Such a relaxing interlude coloring this image.  Sometimes that's exactly what you need.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Take care!

Absolutely gorgeous. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. When people ask me what my favorite flower is I always say what ever is blooming now. Like you our Hydrangeas are blooming now so that's my favorite.

Girlfriend ... you are just amazing! This is colored SO beautifully! It would take me a month of Sunday's to get anything close to this perfect! And I would be tied up in knots from stressing over it. You make it look easy! BEAUTIFUL!!!

Hi, Leslie! It's always a please visiting your blog, and seeing your gorgeously colored artwork. so glad you rejoined the PP team because I get the best of 2 worlds - my Leslie Artist world, and the magnificent drawings from MC. This is breathtaking! I am most taken by your "HI" coloring, like the slightly warn fence, or the distressed terra cotta pot, it reminds me of my little gardening smells and joys! In this case, I cannot help but be amazed by the tiny dots of highlighting in each of the flower centers! Such detail! Thank you for your beautiful card and lovely message inside - it was my happy mail yesterday - no hurries about the stamps - just grateful that I had extra set to share your way. Have a great week - sending lots of good thoughts for Rich. xx

Lovely and exquisitely done! Your watercoloring is so soft and pretty. It looks airy but I'm guessing there are many layers of color used to achieve this look. I just love looking at this one!

This is such a beautiful card. I love the soft colors of the hydrangea. I also like how you tucked in the HI between the petals. Aren't you lucky to have blooms already. I can hardly wait for ours.

Oh my, just love the softness that your lovely water coloring has given to the gorgeous flowers, how wonderful to have your inspiration just outside your window. Love the pretty soft colors around it too. I like how you have framed it too!
