Cozy Christmas Cottage

Hello all!  I know you're just dying to see another Christmas card, aren't you?  Okay, maybe not, but I saw the Double D Challenge asking for buildings and wanted to play, so did the wise thing and made another Christmas card for my box.  The days scoot by so quickly and the next thing you know I realized if I don't post it this week I'll be too late.  I have to say this one was pretty fun.

Ordinarily I try to follow the inspiration board more closely, but not so much this time.  My little house is a building.  That's about it.  The whimsical scene was created with several dies, none of which are new, but I'll list them further down.  I was concerned about the weight with the layers, but when all was said and done it came in under an ounce, even with the envelope and cover sheet -- yay!

Double D Challenge:  Buildings

I have to rush off now.  Honestly, things come up out of the blue and I never know what to expect.  We've got the sewer guy coming today (in fact I just heard him pull up), the ant man finally called to schedule, and Rich has the kitchen and dining room pulled apart to install new baseboards.  When it rains it pours!  Enjoy your day!

Dies:  Poppystamps Boddington Cottage, Stitched Landscapes, Stitched Majestic Mountains, Impression Obsession Christmas Icons (snowman) and Small Snowflake Set

love your mix of traditional and non traditional elements in your Christmas. The house and snowman are so cute and love the yellow sky with falling snow :)

Your card is so very cute and very creative! I love the house and trees dies and those mountains are so wonderful! Your life sounds very busy there. It's pretty quiet here, thankfully just doing Spring clean up and keeping the grass mowed as it jumps this time of year. Of course I have slowed quite a bit since my fall!

Aren't you clever, I didn't think of making a Christmas card for that challenge :) Your combo of these dies worked beautifully together and I like your touch of pattern paper in there too:) The snowman with the sentiment is too cute! I bet you feel good about the amount of Christmas cards you were able to get done this month :) Hope all went smoothly yesterday, and I agree things just seem to pop up and in groups!

Wow! I'm so impressed although I don't know why I should be. You are so creative and always have "outside the box" creations. I love all the dies you used to create this beautiful Christmas card. I agree, when it rains, it pours. There is always something needing to be done around a house.

Oh, I recognize those dies and I'm very happy to see them again! LOve your sunny/snowy/polka dot sky!
Have fun with the makeover - another reason to add the long list of why we should be neighbors who give each other a helping hand! We're painting and tiling this weekend - and I use that WE lightly! I will be the supervisor, and paint-roller!

I hope things have calmed down in your household now and you are enjoying your weekend. I really love your little winter scene, it is quirky and fun. Your spotty paper is wonderful as the sky, I would never have done that. I am far too literal sometimes xx

Well you are on a roll with the Christmas cards Leslie! Love the whimsical feel to this card. Great use of many dies, and love your polka dot sky, so fun! You sure have a lot on the go these days, but so glad you have found some time to create. Have a wonderful day Leslie, and sorry for the late commenting. No more overtime so my hours are now 6:30 - 3pm each day, so more time for creating :).
