Peace on Earth Challenge, November - Team Diane

Hello, again!  It's time for another Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.  These challenges happen with Team Diane on the first Sunday of the month, and Team Darlene on the third Sunday, but it's hard for me (Team Darlene) to resist the pull of the inspiration boards, especially since it's crunch time for Christmas cards, so I'm playing along today as well.

With dies and inks, gold paint, glitter, and gingham paper I made a few of these:

Inspired by the gingham and red in this board:

Four more cards ready to mail:

I should have been more serious about my Christmas cards earlier in the year.  I made a few, but then slacked off.  Whether you're done or working on next year's, come and make some Christmas cards with us at Peace on Earth.  Team Diane and Team Darlene have some fine samples to share with you.

I'll list everything I used on these cards in the recipe below.  Thank you for your time today!

Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 80 lb for card base and 110 lb for layering dies, red, watercolor paper for leaf and bird dies, Memory Box Christmas Plaid designer paper  Ink:  Greens and yellows for leaves, gray and peachy tone, black fine point marker for eyes  Dies:  Memory Box Wooden Alpha, Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangles, Poppystamps Sylvan Spril and Whittle Birds  Other:  Gold Twinkling H2Os paint, Viva Decor Glass Effects Gel sprinkled with glitter on berries

Adorably cute cards, I love those whittle birds, they make such a cute holiday card, and love the buffalo plaid, I have (or will have) several decorations of it in my home when I put it out, this is a fabulous design for Christmas cards, I am so glad you joined in with the early team, and look what you have accomplished!!

Now that my cards are done, I may take a moment to play myself, Leslie - how could you resist that gingham? You've used it to create the sweetest of gathering places for your feathered friends!

Gorgeous cards. I love your layout and the cute birds you used that are colored beautifully, as usual I've been working on Christmas cards over the year, but don't have near enough done. Lucky me I'm in a card kit swap where we can ask for the theme we want. I chose Christmas so now I have six card kits filled with tons of stuff to make Christmas cards. I started on them yesterday and have three made already. Such fun.

So pretty and nice that you were able to get 4 done too :) I love the leaves and the berries you added in the middle, those birdies are just precious, like how you have inked them up and like the wood grain sentiment to go with the gingham, great way to bring the touches together in the mood board!

This is a crisp looking Christmas card with the red letters on the black and white gingham. But that lovely sprig is leaves is so surprising and a great touch, now you have four more cards to send.

Gorgeous! I love the black gingham along with the red lettering. Those little birds are so sweet, love how you incorporated them onto your card. Gosh, I haven't even started Christmas cards yet and I'm running out of time. I have 3 cards orders - approx 35 cards plus my own. I just can't get my mojo going!
Hope you are keeping well.

I love your little nest of gold-schplattered leaves and sweet birds, Leslie! They go so sweetly with the die-cut noel and b/w gingham. A wonderful batch make and I love your photography! Hugs, Darnell

Love the buffalo plaid or is it just large gingham? What is the difference? Yikes. The bird on its branches with the touch of gold glimmer on top of that black and white is fabulous.

This is such a good design. I love that leaf spray and little birds and the gingham makes such a good background. Great card to mass produce. I can never do Christmas cards all year so I always start to get in a panic around this time in November! xx

Wow! I love this design, Leslie! The gingham is a favorite and the challenge photos really caught my eye too. I think your use of the gold on the greenery and woodgrain letters is brilliant! The pop of white balances beautifully.

Love the texture abd dimension you got in this card. The birds are perfect with the bit of greenery and the red NOEL. Smart to make more than one of these.
