Strange and Wonderful

Hey there!  Something fun today... I suddenly went shopping at Rubbernecker because I just couldn't resist certain stamps any longer.  I was really holding myself back by picking out only three image stamps, one with a matching die.  Then, because they do have some great sentiments, I picked out a couple of those that I felt went well with the images I'd chosen.  So you see how it goes... and why I have so many not-yet-used stamps waiting to be colored.  However, I am working on it and not complaining one bit!

Do you think this is the cat talking, or the bird?  I think it's the cat, because the bird is pretty strange looking, but also wonderful.  I love him!  I did quick and simple Copic coloring and left a lot of white space on the image panel.  It has sort of a retro look, I think.  Image stamp is called Bird and Cat.  I could not find it on the site to link to it.  What... did I buy the last one?  Sentiment is called Strange and Wonderful.

I covered the card base with a rather strange and wonderful background panel I pulled from my stash.  I have a few different backgrounds I made with regular Stampin' Up! reinkers and 90% alcohol.  This one is on photo paper.   I don't know why the ink did that funny granular-looking thing.  Strange... and wonderful!

Once again... The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  I'm all behind on my blog, but keeping up on Instagram.

Thank you so much for coming to visit.  I wish you a happy day, and if it's a little strange and wonderful, that's good, too!

Oh I love this so much and went to buy it and your right this is no longer in the store! What a fun card indeed and love that sentiment. Your background is beautiful and makes such a backdrop for your image. Great colouring and colours. I guess the saying could go the either one, but your right it's probably the cat based on your reasoning. Love this Leslie, this make me smile first thing this morning! TFS!

I love that background panel. The sentiment is so perfect for those images. Cat lovers can read it one way and everyone else can read it another.

Lots of giggles happening here, Leslie! Which do I think is the WONDERFUL on this utterly delightful card? It probably is the strange looking bird because people who are a little strange usually think they are wonderful! LOL Surely, the sentiment is being thought by both of them simultaneously? LOL It's a fantastic card, and I love your fun colors and playful background! hugs, de

That's exactly how I feel about my sisters, lol!! These are such fun images, and as always, your coloring is impeccable. What a gorgeous background, too! If you don't count the EH order winging its way here, I've been on a 'full-stop-no-shop,' too. Darn those "I need this, though" thoughts! Lol. Bev

Oh my gosh!! how did I miss this post??? Grrrr!!
But let me tell you Leslie, I'm loving this card. Your background is amazing and these two critters just make me smile.
The sentiment, in my view, belongs to the bird simply because of the subtle smile on his face, the kitty is just like "ok.....? if you say so", hahahaha!!
I must take a look-see at this Rubbernecker company, this is the second card you've made with their stamps, sheeeesh!! here I go again, LOL!!
Thank you for sharing and, once again, enabling😉
Hugs.
Maria.

You asked the question that I had just begun pondering when I checked this post. Don't know the answer, but I do know that this card isn't strange, it's just wonderful! Humorous and fun too.
