Hello there! More coloring today and I thought perhaps it might be nice to take a break from Christmas and fall cards. Therefore, I've got a pretty basket of flowers which I recently found at All Dressed Up. It's a digi stamp called Hanging Basket. They have some very cute stuff over there! I still have a few from All Dressed up that I haven't colored yet and, again, I'm hoping the 30 Day Coloring Challenge will encourage me to get more of them done.
This card represents the coloring I did on Days 2 and 3.
I colored this one with Prismacolor pencils on X-Press It Blending Card. It's not the best for pencils, but the original plan was to do a Copic and pencil combo. However, some of the detail in the image was so fine it was ultimately best to stick with the pencils. I did not use Gamsol for blending. It's just pencils.
A retired sentiment from my stash, retired splatter stamp, a Doodlebug Matte Sprinkle to hold up the basket... A simple design and colorful. I like this one!
By the way, I'm not going to complain about the discomfort of my "golfer's elbow", but it's interesting that my hand started going numb while I was coloring this. I always seem to tense up and grip too hard when I use pencils. Still trying to manage and not overdo it.
Thanks for coming to see me today!

Oh my gosh Leslie!! this is so gorgeous!!! I so love it when you use your Prismacolor Pencils to color your images, this basket of sweet little flowers would totally lift the spirits of the lucky recipient.
Beautifully framed with that stitched die, the "nail" is a sweet little detail.
Please take care of your elbow my friend, I'm venturing to say that you might feel less discomfort if you use a bit of Gamsol to blend your pencils, that way you don't have to hold them so hard to get the blending you want. I always use it, hope you give it a try.
Please take care, ok?
Sending healing hugs.
Maria.
Wow is what I said as soon as I saw this, a stunning pieces of work and what a fabulous image! I have a hanging basket just like this (if the squirrels in the garden shed haven't chewed it up yet..sigh). My hubby had tennis elbow and a shot of cortisone which didn't work so someone told him to wear a full copper bracelet and he did and has worn it about 15 years now never taking it off, of course his wrist is green though but he has NO pain anymore..worth a try I guess, he swears by it!!
I had tennis elbow years ago but I don't play tennis. Mine was from cleaning car windows at our family car wash business. I too did the cortisone but it didn't help at all. Non use helps a lot. Love your card and those pencils work beautifully!
Flower cards are my favorites and these darling blooms are so pretty. Love your coloring and the shading around the cone holding them.
Gorgeous, Leslie! I am totally blown away by your use of colored pencils. Mine attempts always look like my kindergartner granddaughter did it, lol!! That basket and those flowers look so life-like, and the different colors of the shading behind it are amazing. Such a pretty image, and a beautiful card. Sending hugs. xo Bev
This is so gorgeous and the colors are fabulous. What a pretty digi design.
Oh that's a really pretty basket and card. Coloring is wonderful. And we had more snow and it's FRIGID today... Have a great day
Such a happy card, love it. The coloring on the flowers and basket is wonderful. I like the shadow of color near the basket and the splatter stamp.
I love that you posted this one today, it makes me smile and feel happy! Your pencil colouring is beautiful, the wicker basket looks so real. I love the simplicity of this, that bit of splatter is a nice touch ( I too have this stamp, will never get rid of it) and the matte sprinkle came in handy for holding your basket, great idea! Sorry to hear about your elbow Leslie, I was hoping it was getting better, the numb hand does not sound good. Take care,
Fabulous colouring of our hanging basket..xx
You are the master colorer, no matter what your medium, Leslie! This is gorgeous!
Gorgeous coloring, I love the deep color you got, and the pretty background glow to it too! That is the perfect sentiment to use with this image.
Oh that going numb doesn't sound good. My hubby had something similar a few years ago and they gave him exercises to do and a plastic thing to put his arm in, it took a few months but it finally got better, don't remember if we figured what bought it on though.
I just love seeing your creations... This is so realistic and beautiful! I'm so sorry about your discomfort and hope it gets better soon.
WOW!! This is just stunning, Leslie! Your coloring talents always knock my socks off! And nobody in the world can do flowers as well as you! What an awesome card and with that sentiment added, it's just perfect!! Anyone going through a hard time would treasure this!
Love the beautiful image and fabulous colouring-I have quite a few All Dressed Up images but not seen this one before -hope your elbow/hand feels better soon

I love this card!! Your coloring is so beautiful - I love the hanging basket. It looks so real. Unfortunately, it will take time for your elbow to feel better. I just had a PRP procedure done on my shoulders as they are so messed up pushing my walker. They started me using a tens electric stimulator and it has really helped with the pain. You can use it all over your body. Joe is even using it for his back. Hope you feel better.
Leslie, this card is beautiful, wonderful colouring - love the image and the sentiment together.
Leslie, I am always amazed at your lovely work with digital stamps. But with your coloring skills I shouldn't be surprised at the way you add depth and dimensions that makes them look so real! This is beautiful in every way.
Hope you are hanging in there well with your golf elbow. Hope it gets better every day!
