Christmas Bouquet and Wreath Joy

Well, here we are again, friends... a new week, and today I have two cards to share.  These were part of my coloring for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  I forget which days they represent.  This challenge has made it apparent to me that I really don't color every day and it has been somewhat of a push to make it happen.  I generally go to my stamp room with my morning coffee first thing, but not always to color.  I might die cut, stamp a bunch of images, prepare card layouts, finish the insides of cards from the day before, maybe just tidy up or organize.  Does that sound familiar to you?

So now I color... and, happily, it's helping me get my Christmas cards done.  The two cards today were both made with digital stamps by AlexSyberiaDesign.  Images are hand drawn and, I kid you not, she has some gorgeous stuff over there.

First card is Christmas Bouquet.  5" square, watercolored with Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.  Much prettier in real life.  Glossy accents on the sentiment panel.  It was not quite dry when I photographed it, so it's actually more clear now that it's dry.

The next card is a very simple Wreath Joy.  I die cut a curve and added a patterned paper border, but honestly, I think the wreath is prettiest when left very simple on an all white card.  I could make a bunch of these very quickly in all different colors.  I do not feel a need to be concerned about color authenticity.  Just have fun with it.

Total Christmas cards:  30

I'll be back here again as soon as possible.  In the meantime, I'll pop around to visit my bloggie friends and see what you're up to.  I've been falling behind, sigh.  Never enough hours in the day for all the things I love to do.  Have a wonderful day!

Oh sigh! These are gorgeous but my favorite is the lovely wreath. We have snow in East Tennessee this morning! I turned on outside lights at 4 am and the ground is white! I love to see the snow!

Both cards are not only gorgeous, but easy mailers as well, which I LOVE!! Good for you to keep going on the 30 day coloring. I am enjoying seeing all the different mediums you are using to color, let alone the gorgeous finished projects (and stamps and digitals). Yes, like you, I spend every morning with coffee in tow in my craft room, usually do all my commenting then so I can move onto everything else. We have over 2 feet of newly fallen snow in the last 24 hours and it is still coming down. But next week to go back into 40's and 50's...great as then we can get out outside decor up...we hit record snowfall her for this time of year!!

You are doing great, I am still trying to catch up on my birthday cards then I was going to finish Christmas but I am not having a lot of luck.
The coloring on your first card is so gorgeous I really love how you did the flower. The second is so pretty, I just love the colors and how they match your paper perfectly, I just love the little touch of paper at the bottom, just love that one! I may have to use that idea to finish up some of my cards :)

What great Christmas cards! I agree with you that the wreath card can be made in all different colors. I'm trying to catch up on my visits as well. Rain is turning off and on to snow flurries. Nothing major yet. I finished my Thanksgiving cards and am working on Christmas finally!

WOW!! Leslie, what a gorgeous addition to your Christmas card stash, love the big, beautiful image, the Poinsettia with all the luscious greenery around looks amazing. I'm always intimidated by big images, wish you could do a video on how you colored this one so beautifully.
Your second card is sweet and soft, love the pastel colors both on the wreath and on the pretty DSP.
You're doing great with your Christmas cards, awesome job, keep it up!!
Hugs, my friend.
Maria.

Leslie, they are both so beautiful. The pretty paper perfectly complements your wreath (how's that for alliteration?) and I also enjoy the background you made using your photo editing software. The highlights in your poinsettia are just amazing, especially paired with the blue pine needles! In Florida, we only have bright green every greens. Such lovely masterpieces! hugs, de

You’ve really been busy with the coloring challenge, Leslie!! I’ve so enjoyed seeing all your mediums too. You have so much artistic talent and I love both of these! The first has so much color and shadings and a sweet vignette, the second the layout adds so much! That scrap of BasicGrey was one of my favorite patterns. So fun to see what you up to!
