I positioned the main image in the upper right corner and one of the singles in the lower left. There are no sentiments with this set so I scrolled through my Power Poppy digis until I landed on this quote which I've never used before. It's bold enough for the colored background, and the words are very meaningful. Folks should think about this when they're younger as it could save a lot of angst. The sentiment is from Pure Prairie Bouquet digital set.
I'd planned for a white background, but in its usual way, my printer spit all over the sentiment area. The more ink it uses, the more it spits, tsk tsk. To minimize the flaws I made another one of those fun backgrounds which I made once before (here). This time I loosely colored the whole background with a Copic Y32 marker, then dropped Colorless Blender in small amounts at a time onto it. It makes a very interesting effect. I do plan to experiment with this more in the future. ps: Do the background first with this technique. I safely added the pointillism after coloring. It floats and drips away from the image, giving it a sense of magic or fantasy.
I played a lot with my Copics to get colors I was satisfied with. The bluish-green rosette is a mix of G12, BG11, YG61, and YG63. Someday I hope to learn more about pencils over Copics. It could solve a lot of problems!
If you like succulent sets, Power Poppy has quite a few of them. In addition to the So Succulent digi set you can see a mix of digital and clear succulent sets here. One of the clear sets even has matching dies.
I'm off to start the rest of my day. Hoping yours is a beautiful one!

Your card is beautiful! I love the plants and your coloring is amazing. I love how you use two or
three colors of copics to achieve the color you want.

Today my daughter and I are headed to Amish country in Shipshewanna, Indiana, about an hour from here. They have a new stamp store that is loaded to the hilt and I can hardly wait to get there lol...so yes, I will have a wonderful day...good food too!!

OH MY STARS! You have truly brought these flowers to life with your amazing coloring talent!!! This is just gorgeous! PERFECT color choices ... I am in AWE!! WOW! And, I love the sentiment as well as the card base color ... really beautiful!!
And **I** enjoy the privilege of being who I am AND visiting your amazing artwork. Isn't that sentiment just perfect for succulents? It's a gorgeous creation with all the highlights. I actually like that sunny background that also resembles pebbles. You mentioned dripping the blender fluid - I was wondering if this is on coated cardstock similar to Express-It by Copic? Leslie, this is melt-my-heart happiness with the lively colors and the dimension in your coloring - truly frame-able! Oh! thanks for the tip about doing the background first, and then the pointillism after the images are colored.
hugs,

WOW!! my friend, these succulents are GORGEOUS!!!
Your expert Copic coloring make them look real, this card should be framed Leslie, it's just incredibly beautiful.
I laughed at the fact that your printed "spitted" on your panel, but you conquered that with that amazing background.
Thank you for sharing 💕
Maria.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Love your coloring and the fix of the faux pas. Have a great day
Well thank goodness for your spitting printer. The background is gorgeous. I love the effect of the alchol markers and pointillism behind your succulents which are colored beautifully. The dark brown card with the lighter tan makes a perfect frame for this beautiful cad.
Absolutely stunning, your coloring is wonderful, it's a shame about your printer, but it sure gives you the chance to be very creative with your background! that sentiment is a good reminder to us all
Wow..Stunning coloring and highlighting of your beautiful succulents, Leslie. I love how you added your Copics technique for your background. It added so much interest and depth to your gorgeous succulents. TFS my friend. Hugs...Nancy

Gorgeous coloring & I really love the background, even if it wasn't what you planned!
Love the succulentsand your colouring is definitely amazing---some of these printers are definitely geeting above themselves-ours has a definite teenage attitude and not above having a hissy fit and if you dare to print someone-it throws it out halfway across the room!!!

wow, wow, WOW this is so beautiful Leslie and I agree with you on the sentiment and young ppl! I loved reading about your background! So cool! I want to try this too! Talking about printers. ugh. I made a couple of those toner sheets with mine (for foiling and they didn't even work that great)... don't do it! Now my printer puts a very light fog of toner on everything (even after I've cleaned it by hand). grrr Most probably wouldn't notice but I do. So backgrounds to the rescue! Beautiful floral coloring! So fun to mix all the colors to get where you want to be in the end! Copics are amazing! :D TFS!
WOW, WOW! This is positively a thing of beauty! The images and your coloring are so lifelike and full of color! I think the background is a wonderful surprise and makes the card even prettier! This is one of my newest favorites of yours. Gorgeous, work, Leslie!
