More Happy Coloring

Hi there!  I'm back with a completely out of season card but, honestly, I've had the makings for this sitting on my table since mid-summer.  The stamp set is Power Poppy's Natural Beauties, stamped and colored with Copics on X-Press It Blending Card.  It's a happy sort of image, don't you think?

After coloring I glued the panel to another white panel so it would emboss more deeply, then ran it through with a Darice folder called Bird Scroll Frame.  First time use for the embossing folder, tsk tsk, and it's really so cute.  On a separate white panel I embossed just the corner with the bird, then colored, cut it out, and glued over top.  The full panel is glued to a white card base and the bird makes another appearance inside.  Hope one of my October birthday girls doesn't mind getting a spring card!

I've finished the awful pills I was taking to cure my illness and I feel much better now.  Happy day!  Thanks so much for all your get well wishes.  Amazing how those pills affected me.  I hope I can keep up the coloring because I have a whole passel of birthday cards to send out this month.

Take care of you and have yourself a very good day!

Oh, this is just gorgeous! Who cares if they are spring flowers!! They are gorgeous and whoever gets it will adore it! I LOVE the embossed frame around it. I need to remember to use my embossing folders more often too. We get so focused on coloring and die cuts that we forget them.

Leslie, this is adorable! I love the happy colors, and your delighted bird friend. Thanks for the tip about using a 2nd piece of cardstock so the image embosses more deeply. I had never thought of doing that, and it makes complete sense! Your card is not out of season for those of us in Florida. Besides, happy colors, cheerful flowers, and sweet birdies can never be out of season, can it? So glad you are feeling better now that the meds have run their course. I remember having to take an anti-viral medication when I had shingles. It was awful, and never was a more relieved than when it was discontinued after 5 days. Wishing you better days very soon! xx

You've colored it perfectly, and I love that embossing folder...now close your eyes, Cheryl...you don't need this one! LOL! Sweet with the darling bird, and I love it and know the recipient will too! I sure hope you continue to feel better each day, sweet friend! It's amazing how badly you can feel on medications! Tender hugs! xoxo
