Low on Gas? That's Me.

Hi friends!  I've been sick and it's no fun.  We've had about enough of that nonsense at our house for a while, I think.  The pills I'm taking for recovery make me shaky, weak, tired, and a little dizzy, but in a couple of days I'll probably feel all better.

On the 7th day of my illness I thought I'd try a little coloring.  On the 10th day I finally finished the card.  It wasn't easy, being so unsteady, but more fun than laying on the couch.  I thought this not yet used Cars stamp set was appropriate.

I bought this set months ago, thinking it would make the cutest get well cards for boys or men and then the opportunity to use it never arose, which isn't a bad thing, of course.  At any rate, by the time I learn a person is sick and then get a card made they're all recovered.  It's much better to have them on hand.  That makes a good case for willy nilly stamping as long as you can do plenty of it and have a good variety, sigh...

Inside he's all spiffed up and feeling much better.

There's a lot more to this set with a good variety of sentiments that make it very useful.  A good purchase, I think.  It also comes as a digital set.

I'm playing along in Darnell's NBUS challenge today (Never Before Used Schtuff).  I call it "not yet used", some call it "virginal".  We all have it, though some are better than others about using the NBUS before it becomes ancient.  I haven't been good in the past, but I'm working on it.

You all take care now and don't get sick like me.  I'll be back when I can!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear you have been sick for so long, Leslie. Your fun card is colored beautifully. Praying you feel like yourself again soon. Snuggle up with those babies of yours. Somehow they make things better than they are.

This is just the cutest card ever!! It would make a great card for a guy. I love the inside showing how improved it is as well! So sorry to hear that you have been under the weather. They say there are a lot of germs floating around. Probably because it has stayed too warm. It is still very hot here especially for the end of Sept.

I LOVE this! I have this same stamp & actually sent it to my brother-in-law last week when he had shoulder surgery! But yours is much cuter, of course! I bought the stamp many years ago at a stamp convention, but it didn't come with the "after" version! Yours is just adorable! Glad to see you feeling well enough to color again!

This is one of my favorite SNS sets, Leslie. Your bright, crisp coloring has brought him to life! Loving especially the way the charcoal colors in the tires and leaks bring out your pale blue. I'm sorry to hear that you've been seriously ill - not fair for someone who is so kindly, and enjoys accomplishing lots of things! It sure can be depressing and frustrating to not be able to do all the things you wish you could! But I am confident you will soon be back to your normal self - a self I dearly treasure. So know that I am sending lots of positive energy and prayers your way for a quick recovery! Thanks for sharing your cute card! hugs, de
