Hello friends! Today I have the privilege of guest designing with Vicki and team over at A Cut Above. It's a die cut challenge blog which is fairly recently on the scene, but it's taken off and been a lot of fun for everyone.
The "anything goes" theme for December is nice and easy, no pressure in this busy time. You can go straight to this month's challenge by clicking ---- HERE.
My card is die cuts all the way and I chose a Christmas theme because it was high time to get the cards done. A few Tim Holtz products came together and played nicely.
The poinsettia is Holiday Brushstroke #3 and the big joy is from Big Tidings, stars included. I used the TH Lumber 3D embossing folder on the card base. It's nice to know I can have wood grain cardstock whenever I take a notion. I do have a thing for wood grain on cards. Stickles glitter glue added holiday sparkle to the stars. As always, prettier than the picture.
Come play with us. Vicki offers a prize, but I'll let you read more details on the A Cut Above blog. Thank you for visiting today. Happy holidays!

Congratulations on being a guest designer for this group! You are so very creative to be able to use only die cuts to design your card and it is a very beautiful card at that!
WOW...this is beautiful Leslie, and with only dies! That Poinsettia is gorgeous and I just love that plaid JOY...the combination plays beautifully together! Lovely, lovely card my friend and congrats on the GD spot!! Hugs. :0)
very nice and wintry... Brrrr. Have a great day
This is a super fun card to celebrate the JOY of the season! The plaid sentiment is flanked to perfection with Tim's poinsettia. The stars add a nice whimsical touch. This is lovely!!
Gorgeous! Love all the beautiful elements and textures. I also love wood grain so this embossing folder is perfect.
Leslie, I have those dies and will be pinning this one to CASE for 2025!! That Poinsettia HAD TO come live with me!
I LOve your woodgrain with that beauty and big joy! Those twinkling gold stars are a perfect finishing touch for a gold-star card!
Congratulations on being Vicki's guest!

Congratulations on being the guest designer for A Cut Above. I absolutely love your design with the plaid JOY and the woodgrain. But that poinsettia is the star and looks amazing. It is spunky and amazeballs!
Congrats on your GD sport for a cut above. Very well deserved and a beautiful card. I love how you have put all those die cuts together with all those shades of green and the pops of red and gold. Just gorgeous xx
A big congrats on guesting, Leslie! This is such a pretty card. I love that poinsettia with the little sprigs tucked in and the JOY cut from plaid is extra festive. Well done!
Congratulations on your Guest Designer post and what a lovely inspiration it is! Love this poinsettia and the plaid JOY is awesome! The woodgrain is perfect for the background! I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of it!
Congratulations on the GD post, OOOOOh I'm loving the TH dies. Gorgeous card ♥
Oh My....Your Guest Designer JOY Christmas Card is Perfect for the Holiday Season, Leslie:-) I Love Every Single Detail, my friend:-) Thank you so much for sharing and wishing you a special Holiday Season with your Boys:-) Love and Hugs...Nancy
Such a nice Christmas card! Love the plaid for the JOY. You're right - always like the woodgrain effect. Hope you are keeping warm!
This is gorgeous, I love how you incorporated the 2 dies together, they work like they were made for each other. Funny thing is Sizzix just had their big warehouse sale and it was a toss up of them or the Cottage Cutz dies, but I went with Sizzix and these dies were two that I just received (along with many more-the prices were outstanding)!!
Oh my is that gorgeous, love your arrangement with the flower and sparkle on the stars, I love the sentiment cut from pattern paper!! I too love wood grain for backgrounds, don't know why I don't do it more.
