Cheer Deer

Hello!  Another day, another deer card...  Today it's Cottage Cutz dies -- Holiday Reindeer and Birch Trees -- from one of the fantastic sales at The Scrapping Cottage.  These are two favorite dies for sure.  I think the reindeer with presents is so pretty!

I sponged blue ink on the card base and masked an area for the snow.  Reindeer & presents are colored with Copics, birch trees were stamped with an old SU background stamp called Weathered Wood.  It's one of the easiest cards I've done this year and one of my favorites.

I'm still trying to get the rest of the cards in the mail.  You know how time consuming a job that is, and something else always comes up.  I persevere.

Happy holidays!

This is a fabulous card, what a great reindeer he is, I have him too but have never used him, I think he'd make a fun masculine birthday card too. Very clever idea with the birch trees and the inking behind them, plus stamping on the trees themselves, you come with the best creative ideas! I got most of my cards in the mail on Monday, but I kept them pretty simple since postage is now crazy high! Have a great crafty rest of the week, we have a winter advisory again, so you know where I will be!!

I'm loving your deer cards Leslie and this one just might be my favorite of all! It may be a simple card but oh so festive and I'm loving it!! Just got my cards out in the mail yesterday and you are so right...it is a job!! I love the making, but the rest is so time consuming! It's worth it though when I have family and friends telling me how much they appreciate them, so it's all good! Hugs. :0)

A delightful winter scene with this Cottage Cutz cutie! I love how you stamped the birch trees with the textured background stamp. It works perfectly! I think I have that stamp too, so I'll have to make a birch tree card soon. The elegant deep is looking upon a great stack of gifts!

Leslie, who needs a sleigh when one has such a fabulous delivery-deer? LOve your birch trees and how they were stamped - genius idea!
Yes, it is the 'preparing' to send that takes the most time - carry on, my friend! But thanks for sharing this darling card!

While I love the fancy deer, it's those birch trees that I can't stop looking at! What a great idea to stamp them. Wonderful card, Leslie!

Doesn't your reindeer loo proud of his stack of presents and his curly antlers are very impressive. Love your snowy scene too. I have done my cards now, but so far I have had 2 cards from people I haven't sent to. I hate that! xx
