Sweet Wishes

Hi there!  It's been too long since my last post, but I'm here now and glad to be sharing a card in the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge.  I wouldn't have even thought to make this exact card if it hadn't been for their optional "fruit and/or veggies" prompt.  How fun!

See the little cherries?  Small, but mighty.  All the dies, except the larger hearts, are Cottage Cutz.  It occurred to me that they would work perfectly with my not-yet-used Vintage Tray embossing folder/die set from the Open Studio line of Memory Box.

This is a handy folder/die set as you can use the frame with or without the rest of the folder.  In this case I used it all.  I cut the frame first, then fit it into the folder and embossed.  I embossed the white panel separately then put the two together.  Make sense?

Coloring was done with Copics, including the polka dots on the dress.

I'll link up to Can You Handle the Pressure and to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #62 with my NBUS Vintage Tray.

Is anyone else having some wonky issues with Blogger?  When I type a link it makes a duplicate phrase, and sometimes there is no response when I click to change the size of a photo.  Also, I can't change the color of a font.  Is it just me?  I appreciate your response.

Thanks for stopping by today!  We'll do this again soon.

Dies:  Cottage Cutz Kitchen Chef, Sweet w/Shadow & Wishes w/Shadow (shadows not used), Paper Smooches Hearts  Paper:  Neenah Super Smooth white 110 lb & 80 lb  Coloring:  Copics  Other:  Memory Box Vintage Tray 3D embossing folder

I've been having a few blogger issues too, so it isn't just you! I've been trying to just roll with the flow, but somedays I just don't have the patience...grrrrr!! But anyway, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Well you have done it again my friend. I'm in love with this card and I can almost smell a cherry pie! I love all the different elements and it is just perfect for the challenge. Not much going on here in the way of card making and I'm beginning to go into withdrawals!

I just love your eye for design, Leslie. This is charming and cheery and flawless! I WANT that apron! And that frame folder/die set!

As for Blogger, I hope the goblins leave you alone soon. I haven't had those issues, but it does sometimes refuse to load a graphic, usually at night. Not sure if that's related. The person to ask is Loll; she's my go-to for Blogger issues.❤

Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, I'm in love with that pretty little polka dot apron! Fresh cherry time is fast approaching. My guy does love a good sour cherry pie! This is a darling card, Leslie. Blogger does do some wackadoodle stuff from time to time, hang in there!

Absolutely adorably cute, what a treasure this card is, the apron is the sweetest (I had my kitchen all done in cherries once, still have some of it)
so you have to know how much this sweet card appeals to me!! Super cute use of the Cottage Cutz dies and I never ordered from the latest sale, fault of my phone as it quit working and I couldn't get my security code to pay, dang phone LOL!!

A very cool card with awesome dies!! I sometimes have problems with centering or otherwise justifying my text if I move the photos or make one of them small and try to put it beside my text.

Your card is super cute Leslie. I think the cherries are swell!!! I've been having the exact same issues with blogger when trying to make a link, or I get the message "null". What's that mean?? Technology when it doesn't do what it's supposed to do makes life very frustrating. A little paper therapy always helps. Hope you have a great weekend!
