Hello, friends! Sneaking one more card in before Christmas. I hope you're all ready to settle in. Maybe you're traveling. However you spend Christmas may it be a beautiful day.
Our week has been full. Heck, the whole month has been non-stop. Very little of it is Christmas activities because we keep that simple, but we enjoy the quiet time. I see peace and quiet in the folk artsy simplicity of this last card I made for Christmas.
Tim Holtz Christmas Cutouts dies, kraft cardstock and retired Stampin' Up sandable cardstock. Love that stuff and wish they hadn't retired it, so now I'm hoarding it, tsk tsk. It looks like a sky draped in fabric.
I have bunches of never-been-used Christmas dies and stamps that will have to wait till next year. Sales and temptation... but these things give me so many hours of happy time. How can I feel bad about that?

I love how you have used dies to make your lovely card my friend. The colors just draw me in and remind me of a little town with houses lit up for the season. It's almost here and I'm almost ready to settle in and enjoy. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Love your beautiful peaceful card -out Christmas Day will be quiet just us,Daughter,Son and DIL who all live with us anyway plus a neighbour who lives on his own.Wishing you a Merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.

What a great card. It's amazing what you can do with bits and pieces. Love that background. A quiet Christmas here is also expected with just my daughter's family, but lots to do around the house.
Love how you have used these dies, they are so fun and whimsical for sure.

What a cute card! I like cards with little houses. You can do so many things with them. SU has discontinued so many good items. Most of my Xmas stamps are old ones! Have fun with Sophie! Our little Joey us doing much better! Thank goodness!
I definitely see peace and quiet in this card. That is just how I like it too. Love that deep navy sky and the white contrast. No don't feel bad about buying supplies, they will get used and as you say, they bring so much pleasure. Happy Christmas xx
Wonderful sanded sky background and Peaceful folk art design for your Christmas card, Leslie...We enjoyed an all day (5 hours) hike on the beach and into the woods, obviously taking our time for our 5-6 mile hike...no rain, just fog off and on:-)

Hello Leslie: Im taking a little break from wrapping Christmas gifts for our little nieces and nephews, (ages 3-10) and it feels really good to sit down for a bit.
All the adults are participating in a "Grab Bag" so, thankfully, I only have to wrap 2 gifts, one from Mario and one from me.
So anyway, I hope you are done with the Christmas shopping, Im so glad we , and by "we" I mean my daughters and me, Mario CAN'T stand the Mall or stores, especially at this time of the year so, its just my daughters and I, which is a lot of fun!! But that's OK, he does our grocery shopping and Im grateful for that.
Ok my friend, I better get back to wrapping these gifts, I hope you have a great afternoon.

Peace is always a great Christmas sentiment - and this darling scene is truly wonderful, Leslie! I'll take that room on the far right of the house on the right - looks like it would be a wonderful place to craft our days away!

Ah, this is so Christmas Village -y. Thx for bringing us Christmas cheer with all the Christmas Cards you share with us. You are so eclectic and they all are different and such nice surprises. Fabulously fun scene and the navy paper works perfectly, how come I never knew they had that, too late now as they say!! I have plenty of new to use too and lots of Christmas, that's why I'm glad we have our Peace On Earth challenge so I can use it all year long! I do really like the simplicity of the images and the card as a whole. It beckons me back to that first night when Christ was born. I have been trying to get back there ever since,it seems. Life is rarely quiet enough or free of outside responsibilities, distractions, and activities. I have still not unpacked from hosting family for 4 days at our mountain home. I hope you and Rick have a happy New Year and wishing you joy in your puppy Sophie and each other. We are going to be getting an older puppy tomorrow and I am so happy about that.
