Fox with Hearts and Flowers

They say "to plant a tree is to believe in tomorrow", and I figure the same goes for making Valentines in May.  Purple Valentine hugs.

Continuing with the Rubbernecker cards, I'm using another of the fox critters I colored in April.  It was their first time out of the package and before I put the set away I colored the whole bunch with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.  The heart paper is 110 lb printed cardstock, a nice weight for a simple card, and I had just the right shade of purple for the die.

Inside is a friendship sentiment from the Fox set, with the addition of a Valentine sentiment from an older SU set.  I decorated with more of the heart paper.

No challenges today.  Just me stamping.  I gave the foxes a good run and I'm happy about that.  Flowers coming Friday.  I hope to see you then!

Stamps:  Rubbernecker Fox Set, SU Holiday Wishes (Valentine sentiment inside)  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White for coloring, Park Lane 110 lb printed cardstock, Memory Box Wisteria  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black  Coloring:  Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol odorless mineral spirits  Dies & other:  Poppy Scribble Daisy Heart Frame, Poppy Hugs Heart

What a cutie gracing the corner of your pretty purple card. I do love purple but don't use it much...so you have really caught my eye!

Such a sweet card! Little foxy is so cute, and love the purple. Your heart background colour matches your purple die cut frame perfectly, as I find purples are hard to match! Love the inside sentiment as well. You always amaze me with your creations Leslie, so looking forward to Friday with your floral card. Have yourself a wonderful day!

Love this. I am beginning to believe the only way not to stress is to make all holiday cards all year long alongside the birthday cards.

I love how you made him to be the focus of your card, the flower frame and the little hearts background are the best way to send your sweet message.
The soft purple color is a delightful bonus.

Aaahhh...Your sweet fox is so beautifully pencil watercolored and is the perfect embellishment for your beautiful hearts Valentine. How fun to sit and color all the critter images so you have extras when needed:-) I must do more of that...TFS and always inspiring me, my friend. BTW..now that we are home again we sure have been busy..Denny outside mowing and mowing and weedeating and me inside the trailer and the house cleaning. The fox is just the cutest with the pretty bouquet of flowers. That hugs heart die is so sweet and I loved it framed with that flower square with the pretty gems for the centers. Like the way you finished it off on the inside to match, yes always good to be ahead of time with our cards :)
