Hello! Back again with a reminder for our CAS Mix Up Watercolor Challenge. It's my turn to host and I've chosen autumn colors for the theme. Use them any which way as long as it's watercolor and clean and simple.
Once again I question the CASness of my card. It started out with the simple acorn dress, then needed a frame, then the frame needed a background, then the dress was swallowed up in the background, so it needed the moon to highlight it, sigh... I was afraid to add a sentiment for fear it would get even less CAS, ha! It is what it is. An old stamp and a beloved die came together to make a very fall card.
See the challenge blog for links to watercolor techniques. I used SU reinkers for the background, but watercolored the stamp and Acorn Frame die with Tombow markers. Supplies listed below signature.

It is hard to believe that fall is around the corner. I just love your soft colors against the moon. Sometimes less is good but I usually don't know when to stop as well! My surgery went well and I'm itching to make some more Halloween cards but will have to wait a bit!
Oh, my, but this is such a beautiful frame for the acorn dress, Leslie! All so beautifully colored! The embossed background adds dimension without taking away from the main design! An awesome card and perfect challenge, my friend!

Hello Leslie: Forgive me for this late comment, I've been kind of busy, preparing and freezing some meals for the next 10 days, it's a lot of work but totally worth it.
Anywho, I always admire your coloring skills, this card is just beautiful, love the rich, Autumn colors on your background and on the sweet spray of Fall goodness.
You made me laugh at how you arrived at this design, been there, done that, LOL!!

Beautifully created card, the acorns look so real!! I think it is a great CAS card, you have lots of white space and that is what they call for!!
Somehow, in the middle of the night when I was wide awake, I realized I haven’t been getting emails of your blog!! It was like having a nightmare! So at 4:30 this morning I hunted you down.
