Blossoms in Bloom

Happy Monday, friends!  I hope this finds you well and ready for a brand new week.  We continue to carry on here with the work around the house, checking things off the list.  I'm ready for the day everything returns to normal routine.  Before I temporarily lose my stamp room I'm getting a few cards done and some posts written up.  I would not want to lose touch with you all!

Today I have a couple of cards made with the SU Blossoms in Bloom set which I received as a very nice gift from a dear friend.  I'm playing around, getting a feel for the stamps and I can see there are a lot of different ways to use them.  The first card is a  4 3/4" square, all filled up with flowers, and just for fun I added a bird from a Spellbinders die set.  It was already made up and set aside so I might as well use it, right?

The next card is fun and simple with only the smaller flowers scattered around.  The letters were cut from a stamped piece left over from the first card.  The scalloped card base is from a full and fabulous package of goodies sent by another friend.  I'm a lucky girl to have such friends.

Colors and other card details are listed below.  We do have fun, don't we?

Seeing as how this is a first time use of Blossoms in Bloom I'm going to share over at Darnell's NBUS Challenge #26.

Thanks for dropping by and I'll see you again soon!

Stamps:  Stampin Up Blossoms in Bloom  Paper:  SU Whisper White, Ballet Blue, other yellow  Ink:  SU Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, So Saffron, Ballet Blue, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, Old Olive  Other:  Corner Punch, unknown scallop die for card base, Spellbinders bird from Sweet Birdie Thanks Scene, Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, Memory Box Wooden Alpha

Oh my gosh!! Leslie, I love, love the watercolor look on these beautiful blooms, and the sweet way you filled in the space around them with those teeny blue flowers.
The little bird is the most adorable little detail.
Thank you for sharing💕
Stay healthy and safe, my friend.

Both are fabulous cards. It's great that you had that little bird sitting there just waiting for a project to enhance. It is perfect for the card. The scalloped card is a fun one. Great to see your creative juices flowing.

What beautiful cards you created! I love the colors and the cute little bird in the first card. The shape of the next card is great! I love everything about scallops! The little flowers go so well along with the cute sentiment! Such nice cards to brighten the day! We actually went from air-conditioning to heat today! Crazy weather! We put some plants on the porch thinking the cold weather was over!! Have a great week!

These are both just delightful cards. So cheery. Love the use of the bird die on the first card. Love the scallop shape of the 2nd card and the random stamped flowers. Yes you are lucky to have friends who gift you with wonderful things like these stamps and such.

How great that the bird matched your flowers. Love your shaped card too. The stamp gives a water colored type look. Great designs.

I see you are putting your goodies from stamp friends to good use too, I love the little birdie in the first one, you had to use it when it matched with your lovely flowers so well :)
Love the shaped cards and your sprinkling of the flowers is so pretty on it, like the touch of jute with it and such a great idea to cut the sentiment from the flower paper!

Hi Leslie,
This caught my eye over at NBUS and I was so happy to find more cards that I've missed here on your blog. The blooms and lovely colors on your cards are a beautiful combination. I wish that I still had some ballet blue paper. I can tell you had fun with these. That makes me happy!

Your friend sent you the most fun stamp set!! Great work with the first two cards Leslie! Love the bright spring colours. Great idea to use leftovers from the first to create your "HI" sentiment on the second card. What a beauty with that fabulous scalloped edge. Crafting friends are so BEST!! xx
