Well, here we are again at Friday and flowers, and since it's my Power Poppy day I have some extra pretty flowers with butterflies in a digital stamp called Time to Fly. Can you tell I was in the mood for color? I went all out and had the best time with this!
I colored with my Tombow markers, NO water, and only minimal use of the blender pen. I used the blender pen on the clock face and the aura around the image. It might be my new favorite way to color. It's similar to using Copics or pencils, blending dark to light or vice versa, but for me it was easier and quicker. I'll try it again soon and see if I still love it. It's important to note that I used 140 lb watercolor paper, which is essential for the water-based markers.
Since I printed in a light gray, most of the lines disappeared under my water-based markers, including the watch face, so I went back over that with a fine tipped gray marker.
See more colorful Power Poppy flowers here:
Other than the coloring, this is a simple card:
- Power Poppy Time to Fly digital stamp
- 140 lb Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper
- Tombow water-based markers
Stay well, stay safe, and enjoy your weekend!

As soon as I scrolled down and saw this I went WOW! A most stunning card. Do you know a long while back I won a set of Tombow markers and have never used them? Guess I need to get them out, your card is amazing!
Just loving this, you got me just before I go to bed, almost midnight down under. Great colours and gorgeous result. xx
Oh, Leslie, this is exquisite! I am surprised you used Tombow markers exclusively with no water! Wow! You are amazing, and I love the outcome...so beautiful and soft. I must try this myself one of these days. Totally in love with this card and your coloring, my friend! Hugs and love!

You make me want to practice my coloring but a little too busy at the moment with other things but 'one of these days' I hope to color as beautifully as you do!! Thanks for keeping me inspired! HUGS
GORGEOUS!!! Looks like you had a good time coloring. Have a great day
Your colors are amazing, Leslie! This is an image I wouldn't even try to color, but I have so little coloring skill, anyway. The fact that you used markers without water is so surprising. The image is beautifully painted.
I have always been in awe of your coloring, but this is just jaw dropping. I love the depth and dimension of your piece. Hubby whould be rubbing his finger over this one being amazed that it is flat lol. Love how you balenced the colors too. Another framable piece.
So gorgeous, Leslie! Amazing, for sure.

Absolutely gorgeous Leslie! I can't believe you got this look without water! You are amazing with your colouring! I think the outcome looks better without using water, wow I'm amazed! Lovely colours as well, and love the no line. I haven't done much colouring lately, mostly die cutting, I miss colouring now that I see your beautiful creation! I'm so glad you were in the colouring mood for this. Thanks for sharing today, love seeing your card today! Have a nice weekend, hugs,
Gorgeous Leslie, I have a bunch of blender that came with my Tombow's and have never used them. You coloured the image so beautifully it makes me want to pull out mine. Love the image :)
WOW! I love these vibrant colors, Leslie! Wonderful shading that's amazing with water based markers! I love your choice of colors and can't wait to see your next attempt with these markers! I'm in awe of the clock face! That would have been pretty scary to me!
Monte is fine now, I watched him today while outside and he is cautious of what he drinks, had a bucked of soapy water there and he sniffed and walked away....lesson learnt! xx
Here I am a day late as usual! This is stunning my friend. Those colors are pure heaven and I love the clock all snuggled in there! Just gorgeous!
WOW!! Oh what can I say... It's so beautiful and you are so clever! You are a perfectionist when it comes to colouring and especially of light and shade... Brilliant my friend!

What a beautiful, nature-laden, steam-punky masterpiece, Miss Leslie! Love the "alternating" blue and golden backgrounds to complement the blue and golden elements! GENIUS artistic idea - not sure why I had never thought of it - OH YES! It must be because my artiste friend LESLIE had to show me first! LOVE LOVE LOVE your creation bespeaking time in both human ways and nature's ways. love, de
