Hello and happy Monday! When I sorted out all my not-yet-used supplies for last-of-summer card making, I did not forget the dies. You know how I've gone nuts a few times at The Scrapping Cottage on their sales... well, I've done a pretty good job of using my Cottage Cutz dies, actually. Today I've played with mushrooms.
All supplies are listed at the end of this post, so I'll be brief here. I just want to say how fun these cards were to make. On the first card I colored the Mushroom Garden with Copics and cut a window to an ink blended panel. I used DOX inks and brushes for that. Stamped the sentiment multiple times to get it good and crisp over the chalky inks.
On the second card the Spring Mushrooms die is all one piece so I made it a silhouette (so easy), and then I remembered Newton's Nook Garden Mice (thanks to Cat). Yay! Framed the mushroom scene with some paper I'm trying to use up, plus cut a little hillside to ground the mouse and his mushroom. Again, supplies are listed at the end.
So this was my Monday Fun Day post. I'm trying to get back in the swing of Monday Fun Day, Whatever Wednesday, and Flowerful Friday. It helps me stay focused, and Mondays are a good excuse to indulge in the cute stuff. Not that I need an excuse... I might do cute stuff on Wednesdays, too, or flowers... just sayin'... that's why it's called Whatever Wednesday. I'll stop talking now. See you again soon! Stay safe, stay well.

No secret that I'm a mushroom lover and I have enjoyed seeing these today.. Two stunning cards Leslie. That little mouse is so cute and your designs as always are unique and amazing!
Oh my goodness! For me, waking up, grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting down going through my Feedly and see 2 beautiful cards by you, brings me joy! The way you create and craft your cards is always a pleasure to look at. Love your cards today Leslie, both cards are make me smile, the bright cheerful first card, and then your cute little mouse on the second. It's all in the details and you always deliver in that category! Well I'm down to my last day off and have not made a card like I thought I would. Weather has been perfect, low 70's at mid day, lots of birding photography, then there is the usually house hold chores to get done, and yard work which doesn't leave a lot of time for crafting. Oh well, it is what it is! Thanks for sharing today, I love when you create! Enjoy your day,
Cutest cards with those fun mushrooms and of course that adorable mouse and I see some 'Mintay' on the first card. Your cards are always designed so perfectly beautiful!! Looking forward to your Whatever Wednesday!!
I always love to visit it brings me great joy to see your cards! I love both of these the the colors on the first card just make me happy!
I love mushrooms... Both are cute cards. Have a great day
Two more awesome cards, Leslie! I like them both, but that cute little mousie is just SO adorable. Way to keep using up papers and unused items!
I love your fun mushrooms, Leslie! The first are so colorful and are perfect with that inked background! The mouse "hugging" the mushroom is fun and adorable! Love the silhouetted mushrooms and great layout!
The pretty yellow paper background is perfect for the sunny background and yellow mushrooms. Combining the shiolloette and the colorde mouse and mushroom and the dodded designer paper looks amazing. Love what you did with these die cuts.
Your cards are both so beautiful and well designed. These are sure to bring smiles.
Such fun cards Leslie! x
Leslie...when it comes to food I am not a mushroom fan...but when it comes to crafting I love the mushrooms...These are so cute I love the first card with those delicate tall shrooms and of course I love the second silhouette with the lil garden mouse along side. Ya rocked it again! Stay safe. Hugs.
Two outstanding cards my friend and gorgeous papers and stamps. Love the Mushroom mouse and the gorgeous Mintay papers, don't they make gorgeous cards. xx
Love the shapes of the first mushrooms, and their flow of yellow, that little lady bug on top is just the cutest! Love the sunshine feel to the sentiment area, love the pretty paper for the background and how you used the colors of it for your lovely scene!
The second card is just too adorable, I do love the way you used the silhouette for the background and the too cute mice w/mushroom for the foreground, and how you used a mound of the same paper to ground him on as what you used for the framing, such sweet cards both of them!!
I love mushrooms mostly to eat :).
your mouse and mushroom is so adorable, two great cards.
Both cards are fabulous! I can't say too much or too often how creative you are with your work.
Yes, this was definitely a fun post - I loved it! These cards are just adorable! The little ladybug and the mousse are both so cute hanging on to their mushrooms! Have a great week!
Oh my goodness!! those bright yellow mushrooms just jumped out of my screen, how gorgeous they look, so bright and sunshiny.
The little lady bug just looks adorable resting there, so very sweet.
And I love, love your little mushroom hugging mousy, and the fabulous background mushroom silhouettes, two amazing and over the top sweet cards.
Thank you for sharing.
XO
Well, you don't have to quit talking because we love it!Wow, you've been on such a roll this week! Mushrooms are not quite my thing (yet.) But I get lots of ideas from you and when I see what you did with these, I think both cards are adorable! Who wouldn't love getting one of them! It's hard to pick a fave, but I am starting to like mice right now....the silhouette is brilliant!
Both cards are just adorable. I'm partial to the 2nd card (love that die cut).
Both beautiful cards love all the mushrooms
