Mushroom Scenes -- Two Cards

Hello and happy Monday!  When I sorted out all my not-yet-used supplies for last-of-summer card making, I did not forget the dies.  You know how I've gone nuts a few times at The Scrapping Cottage on their sales... well, I've done a pretty good job of using my Cottage Cutz dies, actually.  Today I've played with mushrooms.

All supplies are listed at the end of this post, so I'll be brief here.  I just want to say how fun these cards were to make.  On the first card I colored the Mushroom Garden with Copics and cut a window to an ink blended panel.  I used DOX inks and brushes for that.  Stamped the sentiment multiple times to get it good and crisp over the chalky inks.

On the second card the Spring Mushrooms die is all one piece so I made it a silhouette (so easy), and then I remembered Newton's Nook Garden Mice (thanks to Cat).  Yay!  Framed the mushroom scene with some paper I'm trying to use up, plus cut a little hillside to ground the mouse and his mushroom.  Again, supplies are listed at the end.

So this was my Monday Fun Day post.  I'm trying to get back in the swing of Monday Fun Day, Whatever Wednesday, and Flowerful Friday.  It helps me stay focused, and Mondays are a good excuse to indulge in the cute stuff.  Not that I need an excuse... I might do cute stuff on Wednesdays, too, or flowers...  just sayin'... that's why it's called Whatever Wednesday.  I'll stop talking now.  See you again soon!  Stay safe, stay well.

Oh my goodness! For me, waking up, grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting down going through my Feedly and see 2 beautiful cards by you, brings me joy! The way you create and craft your cards is always a pleasure to look at. Love your cards today Leslie, both cards are make me smile, the bright cheerful first card, and then your cute little mouse on the second. It's all in the details and you always deliver in that category! Well I'm down to my last day off and have not made a card like I thought I would. Weather has been perfect, low 70's at mid day, lots of birding photography, then there is the usually house hold chores to get done, and yard work which doesn't leave a lot of time for crafting. Oh well, it is what it is! Thanks for sharing today, I love when you create! Enjoy your day,

The pretty yellow paper background is perfect for the sunny background and yellow mushrooms. Combining the shiolloette and the colorde mouse and mushroom and the dodded designer paper looks amazing. Love what you did with these die cuts.

Love the shapes of the first mushrooms, and their flow of yellow, that little lady bug on top is just the cutest! Love the sunshine feel to the sentiment area, love the pretty paper for the background and how you used the colors of it for your lovely scene!
The second card is just too adorable, I do love the way you used the silhouette for the background and the too cute mice w/mushroom for the foreground, and how you used a mound of the same paper to ground him on as what you used for the framing, such sweet cards both of them!!

Well, you don't have to quit talking because we love it!Wow, you've been on such a roll this week! Mushrooms are not quite my thing (yet.) But I get lots of ideas from you and when I see what you did with these, I think both cards are adorable! Who wouldn't love getting one of them! It's hard to pick a fave, but I am starting to like mice right now....the silhouette is brilliant!
