Sneaky Raccoons

Tuesday greetings, friends!  I was on quite a stamp buying binge earlier this year, but I'm much better now, thank you.  I piled not-yet-used stamps atop not-yet-used stamps in my basket, plus added many new digital stamps to my files.  Among the stamps in the basket were six Gerda Steiner sets... because I couldn't choose just one.  I finished up one set and have just now played with the second set -- Sneaky Raccoons.

I sat down one morning and colored every stamp, some more than once, then cut everything out and left it for another day.  I figured I'd make a card now and then over time, but I ended up making four cards all in one day.  I hope you don't mind that I share them all at once with just two photos and minimal explanation.

Dies on these two cards:  Spellbinders circle dies, MFT Die-namics Star Stax and Stacking Stars, Poppystamps Woodland Oval, Paper Smooches Foliage 1

All coloring was done with Copics.  I used designer papers and dies and cardstocks that have been in my collection for a good long time.  In the photo below I have one card with a sanded Core'dinations base, and each card is embellished with SU Candy Dots I've had forever.

Dies used on these two cards:  Spellbinders Scored and Pierced Rectangles, Poppystamps Scribble Daisy Heart Frame, Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Hearts, Cottage Cutz Double-Stitched Square Set

Well, this was fun and I'm glad to add four more cute cards to my stash.  I've been mailing a lot lately.

Take good care of yourselves, friends.  I know I don't have to say more than that.  Hugs and love to all.

So cute! In fact I think I've seen the little tree hanger in my back yard just last week! I have racoon, possoms, rabbits, squirrels and groundhog running through! Oh the joys of country living in the south!

Oh, my goodness, Leslie, I can see why you had to have this set! You have made it shine and sold a million copies! Gerda should put all of these cards on the website! In fact, she has her own challenge where you can enter and, of course, you can share these at NBUS, too! Thank you for all the amazing design and coloring inspiration! You take good care, too! Mwah! Leslie, these are just so "gosh-darn" cute! I love the contrast of colors, and the utter sweetness of each card! What a great idea using those stars! Love each one of these cuties. Sounds like you have been busy with the coloring and fussy cutting/ die cutting! Looking forward to doing the same here. Wishing you great health fun! xx

Those sneaky raccoons are just adorable. Maybe not so much when they are sneaking onto my patio at night to see what food the kitties have left behind. they are not aggressive though and will just take off when I open the door. I haven't seen them for a while though. All your cards are great and I so enjoy seeing what is on your creative table.

Of course we don't mind! Four cards and they are delightfully cute and colorful. Love the candy dots, that's the way to used them up! I think your idea is a great one. Prepping things to stamp later when I feel like it is a great way to go. Love your results, Leslie!

These cards just shriek with mischievous antics and fun! Your coloring is perfect on these guys and I can see the fun you had putting this all together. All the paper and the card designing you did for these raccoons just showcased them perfectly! John and I use to go camping and one time we woke up in the middle of the night and there was a family of raccoons just helping themselves to our cooler full of food - and they were tossing the contents out to the other members of raccoons sitting around!!! It was the funniest scene for us to witness as we were young, inexperienced campers, and learned real fast just how mischievous raccoons can be on that one camping trip!!!! Great cards!!! Hugs

These sneaky raccoons are just the cutest and I would much rather see them on a card then in real life, pesky as they are..hah!! You are so clever with your designs, the one that looks as though they are in the light f the moon and stars, well how darn cute is that? ALL are fabulous designs!! Six sets, wow, you sound like me, I have a few new ones to pull out someday!! Have a great weekend, some things are opening up in Michigan, but not in my neck of the woods unless I want to cross the state line, which I don't LOL!!

What a collection of fabulous cards! Those raccoons are too cute. Is that some old BG I see in the background of the first card? One of my favorite collections. So nice to hear from you! Hope you and your family are well!
