Nourish Hope

Hello, friends!  I continue to work with my seemingly never ending stash of not-yet-used supplies, moving between stamps, dies, and digital stamps.  Today's card actually started with the background which I made while randomly playing around.  It's ink blended and then stamped over with the leaves.  I didn't use a whole card-sized piece of cardstock, so I added the wood grain border to fill out.

The Copic colored flowers are from Graciellie Designs Nourish and Flourish digital stamp set.  I've created with these flowers before, but this time I printed them much larger and cut them out to fill the corner.

First time use of the Cottage Cutz Hope Phrase.  Yes, it's one of my Scrapping Cottage bargain finds ($1.95).  I picked up a few of these different words at that price.  Nice size, pretty script.

After I had all the parts put together I added splatters the easy way -- with a stamp from SU's retired Itty Bitty Backgrounds set.

Inside the card is the sentiment, "A fresh start awaits every morning", which comes with the Nourish and Flourish set.

I sure do appreciate having you here and I hope you enjoyed looking!   I'm a little behind on my computer activity, including visiting blogs, but if you'll bear with me I'll eventually catch up.  Hugs all around... from a safe distance.

Wow! The richness of your florals against the leafy blended background is stunning Leslie! Love the bit of wood grain paper as it ties in with your whole nature theme, and the sentiment is perfect! Just exquisite! I was so happy to see your post today, as I always do. Still very little mojo for me for card making but I have a huge order to fulfill, I think your card might of just given me that push. Have a wonderful day Leslie, hugs

Oh so pretty, Leslie! I love your wonderful background. What an uplifting card. It certainly is easy to get behind, isn't it? I usually feel like I'm trying to catch up!

WOW!!! Lisa, I love the background you created for this beautiful flowers, the colors are so rich and bright and they look like a little piece of your garden being kissed by the afternoon sun. Love the detail of the wood grain piece, it adds to the garden feel of your gorgeous card.
I don't recall the SU set you mentioned, so I'm going to have to go look, even if it's retired just so I can maybe remember it. When I need splatters on my cards, I rely on the Gorgeous Grunge set from SU, it also has a stamp with little splatters, and by the way, I wouldn't dream of using a brush or a stick to produce splatters, I would be terrified of messing my panel.
Stay safe and healthy.
XO
Maria.

Sigh.... inhale, and double sigh... though I've said this before to you, I believe this is my favorite Leslie card ever. The softness of the glowing background, the bold colors suggesting vibrant life, the wood plank, and the black and white HOPE - it screams beauty, encouragement, and love! Leslie - gorgeous use of the digital! hugs, de

Great background, and the wood piece is great with it. Beautiful coloring of your large blooms, you did an excellent job cutting them out! Now I like that kind of splattering, no matter how careful I think I am being with my splattering, I still get it all over, that is sure a cleaner way of doing them!

This is absolutely beautiful. Hope! My faith gives me such hope and makes it easier to get thru these days. Those flowers just pop with the colors you used and the softness of your background and the added texture with your added card stock - so clever! Big hugs and I am getting tired of air hugs - I need some real hugs from all my friends, neighbors, and not to mention my family members outside of this house!!! H O P E ;)

First- I am really enjoying using up what supplies I have also. Especially the papers that I love to buy and never seem to use. I am getting better at it. Second this is beautiful. It is almost like peeking through the side fence and seeing the sunlight as a backdrop if that makes sense. Turned out beautiful Leslie.
