Twofer Hearts

Hello!  I have a fun post today as I'm playing along in the Twofer Hearts challenge.  This could not possibly be a difficult theme for me, seeing as how I use hearts on my cards so frequently, but it took me a while to get around to it.  Nevertheless, here they are:

My hearts in common are the smaller of the die cut stitched hearts.  One card is a Valentine, the other a St. Patrick's Day card.

The Valentine is a new-to-me Gerda Steiner stamp set called All Cats.  Along with the lovable cat and all the hearts is another new-to-me item:  Precious Marieke Ribbon Border die.  I'm hoping it will help with some of my vast hoard of ribbon which I need to either use or lose.  It's taking up way too much space where I'd rather store stamps!

Next, the St. Patrick's Day card is using some golden oldie wood block stamps.  The Leprechaun from DOTS (now called CTMH) is one of my first ever stamps.  Too cute to give up!  The sentiment is from Art Impressions, dated 2001.  A perfect pair!

The hearts are Tutti Designs Stitched Nesting Hearts.  Designer papers are years old from my stash.

Thanks for your time today!  I hope this week is going to be a good one for you!

These cards are fabulous... Of course I adore the cat one, so beautifully designed and coloured and then you go and amaze me with the St Pats one... Who would have thought that you could use hearts that way? Oh Leslie it's totally magnificent!

Oh be still my heart! I love both of these but the die cut for the ribbon is amazing. I think I have a die somewhere to use ribbon with so now I'm on a hunt. Have a great week!

Fabulous cards. The little kitty is just too cute. You know I would love it. The St. Patrick's Day one is also adorable. It's so hard to find a really cute stamp to use for that holiday. Not sure if you did this, but it looks like you took the white heart cutout from the St. Patrick's Day card and used it on the Valentine's card. So creative and clecer.

Leslie, your GS cat is fabulous next to the heart in this oh so sweet Valenting. And I love the idea of a clover/shamrock type image for your St Patrick's card great out of the box thinking using the heart! Thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge #23.

Oh my gosh Leslie!! I just can't decide which one of these adorable cards is my favorite, I love them both.
Your Valentine is adorable, that kitty just melts my heart, the detail die is amazing.
Your St. Patrick's Day card is fun and colorful, the jumping Leprechaun puts a big smile on my face and, it reminded me that I have only but ONE St. Patrick's Day stamps in my stash and that's a sentiment, sheeesh!!, I need to go hunting for some cute ones like yours.
Fabulous cards, my friend.

Before I even get to all the card cuteness, I have to tell you that the ribbon border die is amazing. I love ribbon, but since I stopped scrapbooking, I rarely use it. I gave most of it to the grandgirls who love crafting with it. Wish someone would have invented these years ago!! Now. Your cards. That Valentine is darling. The kitty is adorable, and the big and little hearts are perfect (love that border!!). I would have kept that sweet leprechaun too - he's pretty amazing, and that's just the most perfect sentiment, too! Great card for St. Paddy's Day! Two fun cards. So glad to see you in the gallery at Twofer! xoxo Bev

It's fun to see you back in the gallery at Twofer, Leslie, especially for our 2nd Blogaversary! As always, I love seeing your designs and spend long minutes looking over each one because the detail work you put into each one is remarkable. A quick glance would be a mistake because one would miss so much! (Like that wee bit of pattern in the large gingham heart!)

Both of these are cute as can be! I love my Gerda stamps (new order on the way!) and this fat kitty makes me smile holding up his/her hugs and kisses. That ribbon border die is sensational! We all have so much ribbon! I love how you did your St. Pat's design turning your hearts into a shamrock. The tiny hearts look like a cutout because you did them in the same paper. I don't blame you for still loving that joyful leprechaun and fun sentiment! (How did you get it so nice and juicy black? Did you remove it from the wood to put it in your MISTI?) Thank you for playing!! Hugs, Darnell

So much to love on your beautiful cards, Leslie! That ribbon border is beautiful and a great way to show off pretty ribbon on a card! Such a cutie pudgy kitty - I love his expression! Speaking of expression, that leprechaun exudes excitement! I love the sentiment and your wonderful heart shamrock pattern! So glad to see you here, Leslie, the the Twofer blogaversary!

Super cute with the hearts on both. You are very good at keeping up with the challenge too. Way to go. I am catching up as I have time today. Sorry I have been behind. I did get in the stamp room yesterday which was nice. Boys are in the playoff's starting tomorrow. Win or go home, wish us a win. :-) Hugs sweet friend!
