Birthday Chick

Hi, everyone!  I'm back for one last challenge this month, and this one is at my old stompin' grounds -- Double D.  Their challenge is "Balloons" and I just happened to have a -- you guessed it -- not-yet-used stamp that was perfect for it!

It's a Bugaboo digi called Chickz - Happy Birdday Chickie.  I was nearly caught up on my Bugaboo digis when along came one of their 50% off sales.  I weakened.  Anyway, this one is no longer not-yet-used (yay!).

Bright birthday Copic coloring here.  I drew the border rather than add a layer.  It's lightweight, easy mailing, nothing to snag up.  Put one postage stamp on it and it's ready to go.  I mail all my cards, so that's important to me.  The mail can be brutal, no kidding.

Double D Challenge:  "Balloons"

Thanks ever so much for stopping by!  I hope to see you again soon.  Have a happy day!

Fabulous card and image...I love Bugaboo images and you certainly do them justice. I agree about keeping the cards as simple as can be to mail as postage is 'crazy' anymore. The one I mailed the other day went as a parcel..yikes!! Thanks for entering our challenge at Double D...we miss you!!

I love the "bird"day chickie, and it is in my stash as well! Your choices of primary colors make ME feel like I'm in the midst of the party, enjoying myself with your "green-eyed" darling. Loving the brown layer to anchor this chickie laden with birthday goodies. SO CUTE! hugs, de

Fabulous image and of course, great coloring. I don't think I can ever get caught up using my digital stamps. My library is full. Love the bright colors.

Oh, how sweet! Love how you colored the fun image. You blew me away when you said that you mail ALL your cards. So good for you and fabulous for the recipients! My fav is the hand drawn border.

Oh Leslie, I love this card! Fun and fabulous! Cute image and great sentiment. I love how simple you kept this, and the way your created your no layer border! Kudos to you for mailing all your cards. I really need to get better at doing that. All day at work I just wanted to go home and make cards, so now that I'm home, I struggle with getting started at it. Why is that??. Anyway, have a great day!
