Cottage Cutz Christmas

Greetings, friends!  Have you had your fill of Christmas cards yet?  I'm almost done making them, and I'm sure glad of that.  Most have been sent already, but saving the local mailings till last.  The fun part is receiving the daily batch of cards in the mail.  It's a treat to open each one and then tape it into place around the door frame.  That's what my Mom did with Christmas cards and I simply carried on the tradition.

Today I'm sharing two cards which I made in small batches -- 3 of the first card and 4 of the second.  Both are on 111 lb cover cardstock with a wood grain texture.  Love this stuff.  Got it at Cut Cardstock with envelopes to match.  The first card is very fun with the moose and tree.  The die cuts were colored by sponging with ink.  Background frame from Memory Box.  Dies are listed under each photo.

I love the pretty wreath on the card below.  Super easy to create.  I could make lots more, but I have other new-to-me Cottage Cutz dies to use this year.  Their Black Friday sale was not to be resisted.  Again, dies are listed below the photo.  White wood grain cardstock on this one, which it appears is being discontinued at Cut Cardstock.  Luckily I received notice of a sale and bought a couple more packs (along with several other items I actually needed).

Total Christmas Cards:  54

I was hoping to keep this brief today as I know you probably don't have time to be here.  As I finish up a few more cards I'll pop back in.  I hope you're enjoying the holidays.  Things are coming together here!  Have a happy day!

Beautiful and fun cards with those Cottage Cutz dies, I can't wait until the next sale to grab a few more!! Out of all the Cottage Cutz I do have, I have neither of these...and they are so cute (at least I don't think I do lol). Loving that new card stock you have used!! And good for you getting your cards out, mine are hopefully going out this week, though I did get my international ones sent and for me that is a miracle!!

These cards are both so gorgeous and well designed with those fantastic dies. I love that wood grain paper too. It is a perfect compliment to your pretty scene and bird die design.

How fun to see your trees and moose dies colored. I love your sponging and highlights that added so much dimension. Wonderful framing and woodgrain cardbase too.

Beautiful die cut wreath and CAS design on your 2nd card. I never tire of seeing your creative Christmas cards, Leslie.

TFS my friend and Merry Christmas. Hugs..

This is the best, Leslie! I just love a moose on a Christmas card and the way you have designed your card with the woodgrain base, framing, sediment, and green and white rustic trees is just delightful!! Thank you (I think, lol!) for the link to the cut paper store! What budget?! Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell

I so enjoyed your cards. I love the cute little moose in all his glory and I can see doing many things with the wreath. Good shoppig spree! I'm pushing through making the Wellness Center their goodies. As usual, I should have started earlier! Too many ideas, and not enough time!

Fabulous cards, Leslie! I especially like your moose with all the shading on the die cuts, and the fun texturing in your 3 part frame. Beautiful cards! hugs, de

Ack! Love both of these. The moose card is so adorable, I think that is the 'cutest' moose I've seen. Love the design you came up with. That woodgrain cardstock sounds heavenly - such a good weight! And well you know how much I like birds, so this one is right up my alley! I just love the simplicity of this one, a great card to mass produce. I can't believe you still have a few more to make. You know my Mom always did the same as well, would tape them to the door frame or up along the archway, and I do the same. Always look forward to your posts Leslie, you always inspire me. Hugs,

I love your Moose card, your inking is terrific and I love that moose. I just love the way you did the layering of the framing. Don't you just love the black friday sales, you did good :)
That wreath is pretty cool, I love the layers on it, like a grape vine wreath. Sweet bird with it, like the paper behind!
