My samples are a child's birthday card and an encouragement card with the stamp in common from The Cat's Pajama's For Fox Sake. Same stamp, two cards, two different occasions or purposes, each with a different layout/sketch.
It's an itty bitty garden, but we all have to start somewhere, right? Our fox has bright hopes for the future.
In order to turn this into a child's birthday card I borrowed a sentiment stamp from a retired SU set, It's Your Birthday. I may not have thought to combine these stamps, but that's what the Twofer Card Challenge does -- it gets you thinking about how you can stretch your stamps into more uses than they were, perhaps, originally intended.
Both cards are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The birthday card is on hot press watercolor paper and the encouragement card (below) is on Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White. You can see the difference in the Copic colors and the whiteness of the paper. Just having fun. I like hot press watercolor paper for just about anything, really.
These cards probably don't require much more explanation, but I'll list details in the recipe below my signature.
Hop over to the Twofer Blog to see samples and welcome our new member, Cat Craig. Hello and welcome, Cat! Our Loll will still be with us, working behind the scenes in an administrative capacity, but no longer sharing card samples, sniff sniff. Girl has a lot of other things going on.
We're pleased to welcome Kathy and Robyn as guest designers for our Twofer Garden challenge, too.
Thank you, and have a happy day!

Fabulous stamps, the sentiments are just perfect.xx
Leslie, what a wonderful sentiment for your birthday card and its perfect with Mr. Fox. YOur encouragement card has the perfect sentiment for Mr Fox's sweet little garden. Such a darling set of twofer cards.
Both cards are so cute! I love how you can change it up by just changing the sentiment. Well done you!
Wow, Leslie! As a fox lover with her own fox, these cards are irresistible to me! They remind me of Charlotte! I just might have to have this stamp! Awesome cards!!
We have foxes running through our neighborhood, and they live in the bluffs along the Lake. I don't think any of them are as cute as this, nor do they garden! You've created two absolutely darling cards, Leslie. I love that image, and how you've made it work perfectly on your different designs. Beautifully colored, too. You've described, in just the right words, how Twofer really makes us think, stretch, and create wonders. Thanks for that! Have a wonderful week. xo Bev
OMG what a cute image and your cards are adorable! LOVE 'EM!
I love your little fox carefully tending the first flower in his new garden! So so cute! I love how you colored him on both your full-page outside scene and your vertical narrow panel off to the side on your second design! And I love both sediments, too! Interesting to see the differences in the paper, so thanks for sharing that! (I thought sure you'd have a photo or seven of your gorgeous garden!) Hugs, Darnell
both are cute. Have a great day
Aww, these are so very sweet, Leslie! I like the look on both papers and have never tried the super smooth or the hot pressed paper. I really am amazed at how you can pull out Birthday sentiments from old stamps. I had a demonstrator in the beginning of my stamping that would catalogue all of her sentiments in a notebook so she could reference and find them. I may try that with at least my clear stamps...with all my free time. Always love your beautiful and fun card creations!!
I just love these cards! They are so cute with the little fox tending his garden. I love how the different sentiments change up the cards. CUTE - CUTE - CUTE!!!
Two very sweet foxy gardener scenes, Leslie. I love how they work so well for 2 very different occasions. TFS my friend. Hugs...Nancy
Both great cards love the cute stamp and love the sentiment on the childs birthday card

That fox watering his tiny little flower is just so darling on both of your designs, Leslie! I love the combination of colors on your fox, and they are both wonderful sentiments to go with him! So interesting about the hot press watercolor paper - thanks for the tip!
Ohh!! I love the theme for this Twofer Challenge, I know I have a bunch of garden stamp sets so I'm sure I'll give this one a try.
Both your cards are adorable Leslie, the little Fox and the sentiments on each card are truly sweet but the little fox steals the show, love it!!!
Hope you're having a grand time on your trip my friend.
Hugs.
Maria.
This little fox is just the sweetest! Leslie both your cards are wonderful! The birthday verse fits in very well with your image and the second card - is very encouraging. I love the die cut watering can and flower you added. It's the little things like that, that I love so much about your cards. I always love your take on the twofer challenges. Thanks for inspiring me today, as always. Hope your enjoying your travels, can't wait to hear all about it. Hugs,
So cute, Leslie, your little fox is so sweet. Great sentiments and love that little garden scene :)
You always do such a great job with this challenge, totally love your coloring. I just love the birthday card, you found the perfect sentiment to go with it. I just love your added watering can to the second card and that you colored them the same :)
Darling cards with that fox image, Leslie!! Especially love the added watering can - so cute!!
Both are adorable, and of course those foxes steal the show! Love the way you colored them and seeing the difference the paper makes is interesting. Thanks for pointing that out. Again, you've inspired me to look at my stamps and think outside of the box with how to use them. The birthday sentiment is perfect - And one I have in my stash, I think. Off to go look....
Awww, these are both so cute, Leslie! You are just the best!
That fox is so cute!! I love him watering the itty bitty flower! :) Such great cards with fun designs, Leslie! xx
Brilliant colouring on that adorable little tiny-garden-tending fox, Leslie ... on both cards! The sentiments you chose for each card are just perfect ... a sweet, loving one for a child's birthday ... and a wonderfully hopeful one for the encouragement one! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh Leslie they are beyond delightful... I love them!!
Pure delight! (don't you love those little floating clouds?). Your twofer is extra sweet. Love the shadings of aqua in the "think positive" scene especially. It also made me smile - it just seems like a Leslie card with the careful nurturing of a flower and thinking good thoughts. Both are delightful! hugs, de
These are the cutest little garden cards ever (well they aren't little, but the gardener is lol)...adorable cards Leslie!!
Two cute cards with wonderful sentiments!
These are SO CUTE!! LOVE the little scene and that sentiment on the first card. The second card I like the addition of that little watering pail. Darling design!!
That fox is so cute and colored so beautifully. I love the sentiments on both of your cards. They are perfect with this image.
Awwww, that fox is so cute with it's little garden on both of your cards. My feeling is, it's still a garden even if you only take care of a few plants. (IG natshobbycorner)
