Monday Fun Day: CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Monday greetings, friends!  I'm playing along in the CAS Christmas Card Challenge today and the theme this month is Snowman.  This is one challenge I never want to miss and thankfully we have most of the month to play along.  I made two of these cards, exactly alike, which brings my Christmas card total up to 12.

Plum Purdy no longer makes stamps, but my friend, Sherri, sent me a bunch of super cute stamped images to color.  This one is on watercolor paper, sentiment included.  I used my Spectrum Noir sparkle pens for coloring.  You can see a smidgen more of the sparkle in the photo below.

Cut with a Lil' Inker Silly Stitched Die, then matted on pink and a lightly textured white card base.  Finished with a Precious Marieke Snowflake Corner.

The inspiration from the CAS Christmas Challenge team is greatly appreciated!

Have a happy day!

Leslie, I absolutely LOVE how you colored her up! And that corner snowflake is one of my favorites! You've created the perfect CAS Christmas card! I love it in softer colors! I knew you would do something amazing with her! Hugs!!

Super cute image for sure! Love the pine eyes and darling nose! Resembles a Japanese radish in color! Really sweet. I envy you to have that many Christmas cards already done. I've barely kept up with any cards at all this year, but hope to make some Christmas pretties soon. LOVE your card with the pink highlights and shading, Leslie. hugs, de

That is such a cute snowman image, love your coloring with the sparkle markers and that is a perfect sentiment to go with it. Like how you used the snowflake corner and the cute touch of pink with the layering! I think you have me beat on how many cards you have made for Christmas, I haven't kept up like I had hoped.

This is such a beautiful and sparkly card, Leslie! Even though the snow lady image and the sentiment were already stamped by your friend, I can see "YOU" in the whole card - the way you colored the image, the colors you chose, the snowflake corner you added, etc. Thank you for playing along with us at CAS Christmas! Hideko xx

What a darling image and your coloring is outstanding! Doesn't it feel strange to be working on Christmas cards now. But won't you be way ahead of the game come that time of year!

Well, this certainly is an adorable card colored all sparkle-y with those markers! Love the softness of the pretty pastels, too! Funny, years ago my Christmas tree was all snowmen, did it that way for years as I always loved those happy faced snowmen...so you got a big smile out of me today when I saw this!!Haven't had the 'puter' on much at all due to all the thunderstorms we have had the last 4 days...but good for the gardens (and weeds)!!

Oh my! Well you know I much I love snowman. I think Mrs. Purdy is so adorable coloured up all sparkly for the Christmas season. Those Spectrum pens do add a lot of sparkle. I wish Plum Purdy still made stamps, as I have this image and also the Mr. Purdy, but wish I had more of their images. Leslie, you card is just so beautiful. I love that you kept this clean and simple with just that added Snowflake corner. That's all you needed to finish this off. Great sentiment as well! Also, good for you for having 12 cards done- that's awesome! Have a great week.
