I realize these stamps are not very mainstream, but I guess that's what I love about them. It was too hard to narrow down my choices, so I ended up with three single stamps, and two full sets. I'd still like to have more. I chose to color these Wild Horses first.
I didn't use the vivid colors associated with Laurel Burch. Instead, I was inspired by a notebook I saw in a shop... similar, but different. Stamped with Versamark and embossed in copper, watercolored with Twinkling H2Os. Rich and earthy.
Poor horses... their sparkle and shimmer is tethered by the limitations of my photography.
I used a copper brushed metallic card base, a strip of gold trim. Inside is a sentiment and sun motif from a different Laurel Burch set.
A small motif from that other set for embellishment on the front.
I'm going to categorize this as a masculine card, but I'm sure I'll send it to a girlfriend.
I'll be back with flowers on Friday. Enjoy the rest of your week, and I'll hope to see you then!

Oh my gosh, Leslie, no wonder you could not resist this stamp. This is both elegant and so different. Love your coloring and again this needs a frame.
Love Love Love this stamp,Leslie! It's in my wish list also. Many of the Laurel Birch stamps have graced my "graft" room the past 6 months, and I'm dying to use them! Your rich bronzy browns - so earthy and gorgeous - make for a lovely monochromatic design! Beautifully done! xx
I love the colors you chose and in fact prefer them this way. More in the traditional way horses are in real life. This is a fantastic design too!
Wow one amazing card Leslie, what a fantastic stamp and amazing colouring you using H20s, never heard of this company..
You should frame this and hang on your wall.
Hugs Pam x

I remember when All Night Media carried LB's stamps. So colorful! It's fun to see your take on this image! I love your coloring and the gold embossing! Love the gold accent piece too! Gorgeous card Leslie!
very cool, I love the embossed copper outline and the coloring with your H2O's is so pretty, you did a great job with the shading. It does make a wonderful masculine card but I know a girl at church that is really into horses that would totally love this!

I'd love to see you do this again and add some alcohol ink with copper or gold to it - maybe as a frame. Gosh, this is beautiful! Wouldn't this be wonderful as a card set?
