Blossom Twofer

Hello at last!  I haven't managed much time in my room lately, tsk tsk.  Coloring was happening one petal at a time whenever I could pop in there.  Finally, when I did have a day, I put the coloring aside and made some cards for the Twofer Challenge -- make two different cards for two different purposes, using the same stamp or die.   The theme this time around is "Blossoms".

I used an older Die-namites die called "Daisy Bunch" for a simple "hello" and a "get well".

For the first card (below) I glued wood grain paper to the card front, then embossed with Sizzix Elegant Wreath folder, sanded to bring out the pattern.  Daisies are colored with Copics and layered three times with Neenah 110 lb white.  The "hello" is two layers, colored with Copics.  Couldn't help but add the bow and cute little ladybug dimensional sticker.

Card #2 is a whole garden of daisies and two more ladybugs.  An older Stampin' Up! Curvy Verses sentiment.  One of the daisy dies is trimmed to fit its spot on the right edge of the card.

I used one of the trimmed off daisies for the inside.

These cards were almost too much fun.  Daisies are so cheerful.  Thanks, Darnell and all the Twofer Team, for lots of inspiration!  A full list of ingredients can be found below my signature.  Have a happy day!

Beautiful cards, I love daisies (I love most flowers) and adding the ladybug is so cute!! You are getting a nice supply of dies, be careful, or you will be like me ...lol...this Twofer challenge has me stumped, I hope to add mine before it closes (if my brain can think of something)....I sent my friend Dianne the link to your Goldens blog, she loved it!!!

These are terrific! What a great daisy die, and I love how you used it on both cards. Those lady bugs are adorable too! I keep wanting to play along with the challenge but never seem to have the time to get at it. Maybe today is the day....especially after seeing your cards!

Both are fabulous cards Leslie! Love daisies. Great look on the first card with the sanded embossed area, love the look of this against the wood grain paper. Great finishing touches on this with the polka dot bow and of course that cute little ladybug! Second card is so fresh and springy. Love how you placed the daisy die-cuts, and of course those lady bugs are just too cute! I must say no matter what challenge comes your way you own it! Well done on this challenge Leslie. Big sigh....., these make me smile! Have a wonderful day.

Love your woodgrain DSP for the background of your sweet daisy design, Leslie. I noticed your tiny ladybug and pretty bow immediately..so sweet.

Your 2nd card reminds me of our SU parties when you were our demo...gosh over 10 years ago. We had so much fun. I gave my curvy verses set to a friend just starting out stamping. I love your cheerful daisies and ladybugs. The perfect get well card.

TFS both your cards for different occasions. Hugs..

Two wonderful designs and I love the daisy die. I love the wood panel that shows them so well on the first one too. And, the second one is just awesome as well with the white and green look. And, of course, I love how you added the ladybugs. Those make a cute addition indeed! Thanks for joining the Twofer Challenge #3.

What adorable cards - I love the daisies and ladybugs!! The DSP is perfect for the background. Curvy verses are really nice. I also have had trouble finding time to get into my craft room. We are getting ready for 2 more storms coming this week. I am definitely done with winter!!

Thank you so much for putting aside your coloring to play along with us at Twofer Card Challenge #3, Leslie! I appreciate it so much! Your daisy cards are definitely happy and cheerful and they are sure to bring big smiles to the recipients!

I love the rustic nature of your hello card with the clump of daisies growing up along the side of the barn! Isn't it awesome that someone came along and tied a pretty yellow polka-dotty ribbon on them? And your fun inlaid whimsical sediment in your get well card is a design delight with your whole garden of daisies! How sweet to put a daisy on the inside, too! The lady bugs are perfect embellies!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh my goodness girl! I simply adore your cards and daisy flowers are a true favorite of mine. There is a field behind my house and Queen Anne's Lace and Daisies grow there. I can be found roaming around there picking flowers when warm breezes are blowing. Your cards are amazing and those sweet lady bugs just are icing on the cake. Thanks so much for sharing!

Such beauty and grace. Gorgeous cards. Love the cute little ladybugs that adorn each of them. I'm getting my flowers in my beds, but I've never had a lot of luck with daisies and they are so pretty.

Daisies make me happy! These cards are so fun but definitely a WOW in each of them! I love the garden of daisies best with the two cute ladybugs. Mi Mom always grew daisies front and center in her beautiful rock garden. You are amazingly good at this challenge where your creativity shines.
