Hi there! Another daisy card today. I made two Lisa Horton Tall Daisies cards one right after the other. This was the second. This time I embossed, but did not cut.
I gave my hot pressed watercolor paper a spritz on both sides from the water bottle before embossing. Heat dried, then commenced watercoloring with Tombow markers. It looked like a hot pressed mess at times, but in the end I think it's safe to call it "artsy". I did some splattering, added a decorative border. Before I glued it down I also cut and embossed more daisies to layer underneath and help keep the top layer plumped up. All that was layered over the 2013 designer paper which I vowed to use on every card until it was gone (getting close). Lastly, I added the sentiment and a generous scattering of iridescent sequins up the side.
The Tall Daisies are now put away with the rest of the embossing folders. Only a few (ahem) left waiting for their first turn.
Wishing you a wonderful day!

This is absolutely GORGEOUS Leslie! It does look artsy, but also reminds me of a impressionistic oil painting...I love it! And YAY for using up more of that dsp...if you run out, come on over here as I have plenty!! LOL!! I love the edge work and all the sequins on this card too! Beautiful, beautiful card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
A very pretty card with the colors you have 'painted' on and brought that folder to life!! I always love the addition of sequins, they add so much, it's a beautifully designed card, you are so talented with all your designs!! Can't wait to see what's next!!
Oh Leslie, I'm smitten by the beauty of this card. Your painting is fantastic! This definitely looks like a professional painting. Your daisies and denim are over the top, gorgeous!!
LOVE this card. Lots of little details that make them pop. I love the blue centers rather than traditional yellows. Beautiful Have a great day
Stunning! I would love to know which Tombow markers you use!
Oh Leslie - this is beautiful!!! Call it "artsy" I suppose, but I think it's amazing. Good luck with using up your paper. In 20 years, I think I have finished maybe one or two pads! And have fun continuing to use your new folders.
Leslie, I am very happy to see these daisies again! Gosh, you do have a way of bringing them to life with your Tombows! You've found a really fun and pretty way to use that pad of patterned paper!

That wavy edge and patterned paper is such a good way to add interest without overwhelming those beautiful daisies. I think your water colouring looks wonderful xx
Love the die cut curved edge and beautiful embossed daisies.

Safe?! You think it is SAFE to call it "artsy"?! The first thing I thought when seeing this incredible masterpiece was "I want to hang this on my wall as a piece of art!" LOL It is spectacular with the explosions of color, fun shapes, use of aqua/turquoise and the splatters. I have never thought of using WC paper in an EF - nor would I have thought to spritz both sides. It really is magnificent, Leslie. Thanks for bringing color and smiles my way! hugs, de
Are you kidding me? This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the Daisy images and that edge with the dye cut is just the best.
Your card is just perfect and your coloring is as well! Your daisies look so real and the colors you chose are gorgeous. I'm such a hoarder when it comes to DSP but I have decided not to buy anymore until I use some.
Great coloring on your daisies, Leslie this is pretty! The bracket die was a great choice to highlight more of that DP you've been using up!
How lovely these daisies look in blues! The embossing detail is gorgeous!
Another beautiful daisy card, Leslie! I love how you've colored them and they look beautiful to me! Love that fancy edge too!
Your card is incredibly artsy with the soft background and the beautifully coloured daisies ♥
I'm re-organising my craft room as I've gained a little more space in one of our downstairs rooms and my goal for this year is to follow your lead with the DP :)

Your daisy card is absolutely lovely, and I love how the watercoloring adds such a beautiful artsy touch! The splattering and sequins are perfect finishing details. I just shared a new post; let me know what you think. Have a lovely week ahead.
