Sophie Again

Honestly, I've been working on a batch of Christmas cards, but none are finished yet.  Then the sun came out as brilliant and warm as summertime, so Sophie and I have been outside as much as possible.  We're eager to show her all the fun places, but in the meantime Sophie has a wonderland in her own back yard.

I've resumed working on the trails I built in our woods when Wally was a puppy, and Sophie is having the time of her life "helping" me.  Just like Wally and LuLu (and me) she loves the woods -- so many good earthy smells, so many leaves and sticks and dirt that's okay to dig in.

After her good time in the woods Sophie had lunch and fell fast asleep in the sun coming through the kitchen patio door.  She didn't even see the visitor looking in at us.  A quick phone pic through the window...

This guy is a little too big for a puppy's playmate, but Sophie has several fully vaccinated doggy friends to socialize with, so she's happy.

I hope this finds you happy, too.

Oh she is a cutie, I'd be cuddling her all the time. (Got back Friday from several weeks in Utah visiting my family. Had 500+ blog visits to make, too overwhelming so I am starting over with a clean slate of visits today!)

She is the perfect companion, Leslie - especially out in the yard! I wonder if she will remain a lighter color? Ours did, though he was more golden than puppy-white as he matured. Thanks for sharing your photos! Sending hugs,

Oh I bet she was just thrilled to go outside and explore the yard. Good thing she wasn't out there when your visitor came, I know our little puppy peanut chased after one and we were so hoping she wouldn't get hurt.
I bet she has enjoyed visiting playmates too :) Enjoy the sun when you get it, we woke up to 27 degrees this morning, just not right ;(

Could she be any sweeter??! Those eyes just melt my heart Leslie...so, SO CUTE!! Will she turn more of a golden color as she gets bigger or stay the softer white color? I'm so glad the weather has cooperated so you and Sophie can play outside together...so therapeutic for both of you! Sweet, sweet post!! Hugs. :0)

Sophie is one beautiful girlie, her eyes say it all, look right into the soul!! Love seeing her pictures and I can imagine she is keeping you on your toes as most pups love to do. What a beautiful picture of the buck too, in the 29 years we have lived n this home I have only see ONE buck, 100s and 100s of doe and fawns but rarely a buck!!

It's beautiful to picture you and Sophie enjoying the outdoors on a lovely day. Keep those pics coming! Amazing to see the deer so close up. We have deer come by all the time - we counted a herd of 25 coming through one evening!
