Double D Challenge: Easter

Hello friends!  Thoughts are turning to Easter at Double D so Darlene has put together a most inspiring board for us.

Several stamps in my collection came to mind when I looked at the board, and then I remembered this ages old Whipper Snapper stamp.  It's unmarked and now the name is forgotten so I just call it Easter Lilies.  No matter.  It reminded me of the yellow tulips on the inspiration board, and the scattered flowers at the base represent the jelly beans.

I pulled a leftover frame from my spare parts and wrapped it in Easter-y plaid, then colored the image to match using Tombow markers.  A few punched flowers and a glittery sentiment add a little something extra.

Put your mad crafting skills to work and play along with us.  The team votes for creative winners, and there's a prize for a random winner:

At the Double D blog you can learn more and see the fabulously creative team samples.  Have a beautiful day!

Stamps:  Whipper Snapper Easter Lilies  Paper:  Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140 lb hot press watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 80#, green glitter cardstock for sentiment, Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid designer paper  Ink:  Palette Noir  Coloring:  Tombow markers  Other:  Cottage Cutz Greetings, flower punch, one green gem, Stickles Stardust glitter glue

But those lilies with an Easter egg in the middle are what caught my eye. You did an astounding job on this card. I adore that little border of flowers too.

What a pretty card and so spring like. I'm sure waiting for the warmer weather and all the spring flowers to come out. We're still in the chilly mode here in H Town for now.

Leslie, if every tulip came with a chocolate egg in its center, Tom would have a field of them planted!! Ha!
As cute as any greetings card could be - love the Easter-y-colored plaid!

Oh my goodness, Leslie this is the sweetest card ever! First, love this Whipper Snapper image, and how you coloured and showcased is magnificent! Such pretty spring colours (which I certainly need right now, I'm done with winter). You always seem to have the most lovely images for all of our different occasions. You knocked this challenge out of the park Leslie! Beautiful card! Sorry, so late at commenting, very busy week (work wise), covering for a co-worker who is off the week, then another one I have to cover for the next 2 weeks, so double the work for me. Thank you once again for sharing, this made my Saturday morning. Off to work I go, no rest for the wicked! lol. Take care,
