Ebullient With Love

Hello again!  Today I've come back to my Penny Black Ebullient stamp set.  I recently stamped all four images and they're ready to color and cut out.  This is #2 in the process.  It will be one less stamp set in my NBUS basket.

Coloring was done with my trusty Tombow markers and blender.  The blender is a blank Copic marker filled with a homemade blender solution.  I've linked to it many times, but here it is again:  Homemade blender.  Mostly I like to apply some color with a marker, then dab at the edges with the blender.

The die cut background was pulled from my spare parts -- an experiment from quite some time ago.  It's a combo of older die sets, brushed with ink.  Not perfect, but usable.

I'm playing along in another favorite challenge today:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge -- Optional hearts and/or flowers

I sure do appreciate your visit today.  It's been fun!  Have yourself a good weekend and we'll get together again next week.  Take care!

Stamps:  Penny Black Ebullient, Penny Black Peaceful Time (for sentiment)  Paper:  Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140 lb hot press watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White  Ink:  Palette Noir, SU Summer Sun  Coloring:  Tombow markers with homemade blender solution in empty Copic marker  Other:  Cheery Lynn Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker A2 Frame, Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One for sentiment, other long rectangle die

A gorgeous card, so full of Spring sunshine which we all need about now! You are a whiz with those Tombows, and I agree a lot less costly then the Copics which don't seem to last long at all! Beautiful colors and beautiful background die!!

Beautifully colored and blended flowers and vase, Leslie. Pretty die cut background from your stash too. Are you snowed in? We had about 3+ inches then took a 2 hour nap and woke up to about 1/2 of it gone, especially off the trees because of snow mixed with rain and 37 degrees. Now it has started snowing again. We are prepared in case we lose our power. Denny is keeping our wood stove going constantly with myrtlewood for a nice warm fire:-) Stay warm and cozy. Love and Hugs..

Oh my friend...you do play well with color! Such a lovely combination and I do think I need to try the homemade blender solution! I never learned to play with markers and do better with ink and brushes.

Gorgeous bouquet in that lovely vase! if you fussy cut that you did an excellent job that is a lot of tiny things to go around. I like your inking on that fancy background die, nice when you already have things ready to put on your card, so sweet!

Oh, sunshine! Love the yellow and gorgeous details on the frame. The florals are a sweet spot to rest your eye, and I love the coloring. You did some tricky fussy cutting too. This is a stunner, Leslie! I have to comment on your photography skills too. I'm alway admiring how you change your props for each project!

It has been a busy week, but my family left yesterday and now I have the time to make comments on my favorite posts. I have such delight for this simple image on the scrolly background. They make a fab design and I am now looking at joining the challenge at Penny Black. Hope I have the time.
