Flower Fun

Hi!  I'm back and first up I would like to tell you that we have workers in our house all this week and Monday installing the new flooring.  We've spent the last few days shuffling furniture and taking everything apart, including my stamp room.  You can imagine the upheaval.  I have not been able to get to the computer to visit my blogging friends, but please know I'll stop by as soon as I have a chance.  I do have a few posts scheduled with cards I made before the upheaval.  Thank you so much for hanging in there with me.  Now onward to card making!

There are times stamping is so much fun you'd think it would be illegal.  You know it, don't you?  Then there are other times... well, forget those.  Today it's all about the fun.

My card was made with the new-to-me Stampendous Flower Frame set.  I used some of the smaller stamps in the set and made a happy summer scene.  The green landscape is a cloud die set, and the sky is stenciled.  I smiled all the while I was making this and I hope it gives you a smile, too.  Have a happy day!

Stamps:  Stampendous Flower Frame  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 110 lb, BasicGrey Lemonade designer paper  Ink:  SU Cool Caribbean, Memento Tuxedo Black  Coloring:  Copics  Other:  Simon Says Stamp Medium Dots stencil, Poppystamps Stitched Cloud Line

Hi, Leslie! How exciting that your renovations are coming together so beautifully! Yes, they are a hassle to prepare for, and then to "endure", but how fresh and enjoyable everything is after it's all completed! I'm thrilled for you!

My heart purred and laughed with delight at this adorable creation! Loving the stenciled background, and those sweetly layered and popped up dimensional images. I picked up on the "green clouds" right away, and what a great multi-use of the die set! Looks like lots of greenery and happiness, with flowers emerging, peeking at the sun. IT IS OH SO CUTE, and I love everything about it!

Like you, I am grateful it is NOT illegal to make cards. It's become my "last haven" of where I can actually DO something. It's amazing how we can find a way to do what we love... in new ways perhaps, but always a way. Well, mostly a way to find it. LOL How wishy-washy of me! Hoping the puppies are not too put out by the renos. Our current endeavor is new doors - we have finally settled on a contractor and style. Now to determine if we want impact doors or non-impact. Impacts are about 100% more from energy-efficient non-impact. But only impact doors are rated energy star. Either way, it will help with the electric bill and interior comfort. Too much info, right? LOL I'll keep ya posted. Thanks for the emails - they are much appreciated. huggers, de

Oh, won't it be nice when the "upheaval" is all put back together again! What a ton of work and disruption, but so wonderful when finished. Glad you had so much fun making your cute card!

What a happy card you created! I like how you created the grass with a cloud die, especially with those adorable flowers peeping out! We have been rearranging things here as well. I think when one gets older they do not like their routine changed!! I'm sure when everything is finished you will love the end result! I hope Lulu is doing well with all the disruption.

Oh sweet friend, this is just adorable and make me smile immediately! I'm sure it's crazy around your house right now but how awesome will it be when all completed! THAT has to be an exciting thought!!
You need not apologize ... life happens and those who love you will be waiting when you're able to return to some normalcy! LOL It's been crazy around here too with our outside project (what were we thinking??? lol) but it too will be awesome once we have it completed! Difference is Mark & I are doing all the work ourselves but I must admit, it's coming along nicely. Will share photos once completed.
Glad you had a few goodies in reserve to share with us! Hang in there ... I see light at the end of the tunnel for you! LOL HUGS

It is always the best to create for the fun of it, and this is so cute, I love your idea of using the cloud stencil for the ground and having a fun polka dot sky, the flowers are so cute too, such a sweet summer scene!

That does sound like a lot of tiring work but I am sure you will love it in the end, good luck with it all!

I do hope all your home improvements are going to plan, I know ow traumatic these things can be. I love this card and particularly like that you have used a spotty stencil for the sky, what an ingenious idea. I would never have thought of that xx
