Hello, friends! I hope you're feeling fine and having a good summer. Crazy weather, right? It's been downright miserable some places, but here on the Oregon coast we've been pretty comfortable. Must count every small blessing.
I thought I would share another one of the sunflower cards I made. Stampendous Pop Sunflower Set. For this card I used just the single bloom and leaf, tucked in the bird, and arranged all that and a frame on a stenciled background. All the parts are embossed with Ranger Princess Gold embossing power, then watercolored with SU inks.
I love the little bird. I made three cards with this set one day and everything is watercolored exactly the same. I really want to do more with it. I have one more card yet to share.
About that stenciled background -- I bought a set of 36 stencils on Amazon, mostly geometric patterns. The stencils are a good quality, but only 5" square. That's okay by me. Who knew I would ever have this many stencils? I would link, but can't seem to find the exact set.
Two shout outs today: Loll for enabling me to buy the Princess Gold embossing powder, and Lynette for enabling me to buy a set of stencils on Amazon. Thanks, girls!
Wishing you a happy day!

So happy to see your card today Leslie. I am off today, had a 4 day weekend, so my plan is to do some yard work this morning, as it is suppose to reach 104 today, and work on cards this afternoon. LOVE this card ... even more beautiful in real life, Leslie. Thank you! Sunflowers are such a happy flower and paired with that sweet bird, it's a winning combination! The geometric stenciled background is awesome! xx
Oh wow that is so pretty, love the flowers and the sweet bird, he is just too cute all snuggled in the flowers singing away, that gold embossing powder is so pretty with them and the stencil makes a fun whimsical background for your scene, Love it!
I love that little bird too, and the entire card is darling!! I only have a few stencils, they can add so much to a card. I was so very relieved to hear that Lulu is doing better. Amazing to me how we grow so attached to our friend’s dogs. But she is the sweetest and reminds me of our Beulah.
Love your stenciled background (what a deal!) and your sweet stamped and heat embossed sunflowers and sweet tweety bird. Wonderful Summertime Birthday card, Leslie. Agree, our weather has been wonderful. By the time it gets too warm and our shade is mostly gone we are ready for our late afternoon nap:-) Our veggies and berries garden is very happy too..plus the flower gardens. Everything looking gorgeous and keeping us busy:-) Love and Hugs..Nancy
Ohh, this one is such a beauty! I love the soft variations of color in the stenciled background and the pretty frame on top! Sunflowers and gold are a wonderful combination! I love seeing how you use COLOR in your designs, Leslie! And the sweet bird belongs in the pretty spot you created for him.
July will be a busy month for me, but I will be checking in as much as I am able! Loving being able to see family this summer.
This is so pretty. Love the little bird image, the stenciled background and the gold embossing.
Love that stencil and how you have inked it, it makes an excellent background. The layout and framing of this card is great too. That looks like a really great embossing powder, very shiny. I hope Lulu's on off recovery stays more on than off - fingers crossed xx
Oh, how sweet is that little birdie!! What a fabulous card. Glad you got yourself some stencils. :-) My first ones were smaller, but my second ones are 6 x 6. They are so fun!
Ooh, how bright and pretty, Leslie! Love the soft stenciled background that adds just the right amount of interest to the bright and happy sunflowers and sweet bird!
Oh my word, what a glorious card. That gorgeous image and colours, wow. xx.xx
What a bright and sunny card you created! Your embossing powder is stunning and definitely showcases your stamps. WOW 36 stencils!! They create beautiful backgrounds! Hope you had a great 4th and Lulu is doing well!
It's beautiful and I love the stenciling... It really does add something special.
Princess Gold looks good on this little bird! Wow, you sure do have a big stencil collection now. I only have I *think* two! I have not ventured into this part of our stamping world.
Have a beautiful, blessed weekend, Leslie. Give Wally and LuLu pets for me. xo
WOWSER, ma'am! I love the gold EP and your carefully fussy-cut sweet birdie! I never thought of fussy cutting gold embossed images. WHY IS THAT? Your stencil find is fabulous (care to share the Amazon link?) I always enjoy your watercolor style, and the way you blend colors. It's a wonderful creation! huggers, de
