Haunted Halloween

Welcome to Wednesday, friends.  I can't not make a few Halloween cards this year, even though I have several left from last year.  Today I have two, and they actually started with the Cloudy Skies stenciled background made with Distress Oxide inks Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Victorian Velvet.  Splattered with water just a little bit.

I've used a Plum Purdy cat and Whipper Snapper bats, both of which are years old.  Tee hee!  Love those bats!

Hillside edges were swiped with white ink.  Die cut sentiment.  Coloring was done with Copics.  This slimline card measures 9" x 3 3/4".

The next card is made with Impression Obsession dies and another Cloudy Skies background.  Same inks, different cloud layers, no splatters.  The little ghosts are sequins.  I added Wink of Stella to the sentiment.

I'm sending my slimline card over to the Shopping Our Stash Challenge #430 - On Trend - Slimline.  Between the awesome DT and the players' gallery there are some fabulous cards and great slimline ideas!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you again soon.  Take care!

Card #1 -- Stamps:  Plum Purdy Black Magic (cat), Whipper Snapper Spooky Expressions (bats)  Paper:  Neenah white 80 & 110 lb, black  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, white pigment ink, DOX Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Victorian Velvet  Coloring:  Copics  Other:  Heffy Doodle Cloudy Skies Stencil, Poppy Stamps Stitched Landscapes, Impression Obsession Trick or Treat

I'm not sure my comment was sent. My crazy fingers are all over the place this morning. You have made this old lady smile this morning! Both cards are wonderful but the first one is the one that made me giggle! I love that silly cat with the arched back and your colors are wonderful. Have a great rest of the week!

Both cards are certainly cute for Halloween, those eeek bats made me laugh and the cat is a great stamp. Love the 2nd card too and what a clever idea with the sequin ghosts! Loving those pretty~pretty clouds and their pretty colors. Dar and I are starting a new challenge blog to debut soon, and it's a year round Halloween one. Leslie, as much as I love the Holidays, Halloween is my favorite season for making cute, spooky cards.
Your card is exactly that, my friend, love those laughing bats looking down on this poor kitty whose face says it all.
The sky is marvelous and the colors "spooktacular" on this card.
Thank you for playing along with us at SHOPPING OUR STASH!!

Fabulous glittery sentiment too.

I love the colors you used for the cloudy skies. So pretty. Both cards are well done but of course, my favorite is Plum Purdy Cat. So adorable. I also like the slimline. That really seems to be a "thing" these days. I'm seeing more and more of them in challenges.

What great cards and slim line as well! I guess that's all the rage these days. I really like the cloud stencil you used again and great colors. The bats are to die for along with the cat!! Your other card is just perfect with the little ghosts flying around the haunted house! Reminds me of one of my favorite cartoons - Casper the Friendly Ghost!!

what a fun card Leslie, your purple sky is perfect for this cute Halloween card and love the effect of swiping white on the hills. I can just imagine the moon shining off them and your cat is adorable :)

I can see why you love making Halloween cards, Leslie! You are an expert at it!! Your pink and yellow skies are incredible and go so well with the black! That cat is the best in traditional H colors and your traditional house on a hill scary scary night is everything a H card should be! (Can you tell I woke up lazy this morning and can't even bother typing out Halloween? So bad!) I hope you are keeping well! Hugs, Darnell

Oh my goodness, I love both of these. Your slim line is amazing with those clouds and the way your created your rolling hills, and those smiley bats - they are awesome, and of course your Plum Purdy cat! (I wish Plum Purdy still made stamps). And your second card, those beautiful puffy colourful clouds with the black skyline - wow! Gorgeous cards Leslie. I very seldom do Halloween cards. I only mail a couple and I still have some from last year. But I am always in awe of the ones you make! Thanks for sharing these.
