For My Favorite Old Goat

Hello, friends!  As usual, I like to start the week with something fun, so today I'm sharing my husband's birthday card.  I used an Art Impressions set called Old Goat.  Very fun and perfect for my own old goat.

Nothing clean and simple about this.  It's a party on a card and isn't it fun?  I debated on whether or not to include the designer paper, but it won out and I'm glad.

I colored once again with Tombow markers and no water.  This one was more of a struggle because the watercolor paper I used is not so great.  I've been trying to use it up for backgrounds and die cuts, but thought I'd try it with the Tombows.  It doesn't matter what coloring medium you're using, the paper makes all the difference.  Use good paper!

It's been a busy card making month for me and I'm not done yet.  It's a big month for birthdays, fall, cards, and Halloween... and coming up is something from Power Poppy that Marcella's been working on diligently, barely coming up for air... the team will be sharing soon.  Busy, busy!

You all take care, stay safe, enjoy life however you can.  We'll come back here and do this again soon!

Stamps:  Art Impressions Old Goat  Paper:  Poor quality watercolor paper that is almost impossible to blend inks on, Prima Julie Nutting designer paper  Ink:  Palette Noir  Coloring:  Tombow water-based markers (no water)  Other:  Hero Arts Wood Frame, Memory Box Banner Parade, Spellbinders Classic Ovals Small

What a fun and delightful card Leslie! Love this Old Goat, makes me smile. Love everything about this, fabulous Tombow colouring, the wooden frame, the banner, sentiment (love this) and great choice for your designer paper. You have some of the best 'fun' images, I think I need to expand my selection. I'm sure Rich loved this. Thanks for sharing, a great way to start my day! A rainy dreary next couple of days, so hopefully some card making will happen. Have a wonderful day Leslie, take care.

Whoa, I am glad to be getting here early for this party! Something fun indeed! As with all your cards, the colors caught my eye first. Love the blues on this old goat and I'm glad you kept the DSP in the mix. This card is totally delightful!

Thanks for my first "giggle" of the day! - This card is so cute and fun. I'm glad you left in the designer paper and I love the ribbon die on the right side of the card, it goes perfectly with the goat image.

Woot, Woot!!! This is just the best reason to have a huge grin upon my face today, my friend, with all the "shtuff" going on, we need reasons to smile.
Let me wish Rich a very happy birthday and many more, I don't know if his birthday is today or if it already went by, you might have waited to share his card so he wouldn't see it ahead of time.
But I love it, what a delightful image, love the colors and I'm glad you decided to use the pattern paper, it frames this image and all the details beautifully.
The sentiment is hilarious, my friend, I'bet Rich got a kick out of this card.
Thank you for sharing.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

It's great! Love the image and the ribbon banner on the side goes perfectly with it. Great coloring. I've debated about trying Tombow markers but have resisted since I own all these Copic markers. I'm sure Rich will get a kick (Hahaha) out of it.

You gave me a smile for the day. We had some goats when we lived on a farm and they are so much fun especially when they are youngsters. Love your sense of humor.

This card is great and made me laugh right off, I almost bought this set awhile back for my brother whom has a goatee just like a goat, in fact his Facebook profile picture says it all LOL! His birthday was Saturday and I bought a goat stamp (and matching dies of course) purposely for him from Stampendous...another one of my 'million' dollar cards..hah! Anyhow, your card is a hoot! Oh, and thank you so much for making me do the 'monster mash', I found some 'dancers' in my mailbox...so CUTE!!

such a great image, I love how you added streamers to match the ones in the image, and you may have had a hard time coloring on that paper but from here I can't tell, love the framing of it and big happy birthday wishes to your hubby!
