It's called Christmas Border -- all one part, sentiment included, and it cuts beautifully. For each card I cut once in white and once in a coordinating darker color, then layered for depth. I added some old Spellbinders Create-a-Flake-Five snowflakes.
Both cards have backgrounds made with Distress Oxide inks. Splattered first with water and then with diluted white acrylic paint. The first card is Chipped Sapphire and Milled Lavender. The next card is Seedless Preserves
So simple. A lot of my Christmas cards this year will be made with Cottage Cutz dies. I've built up quite a collection, I kid you not. The good thing is that the CC Christmas dies always get used... in multiples.
Have a fabulous day!

Two stunning Christmas cards, your backgrounds are absolutely beautiful.xx
Super cute and very mailable! I am always trying to find easy designs for my cards that I have to mail! Hope you are staying well! We are good here!
You have created gorgeous cards with these dies, the colors and backgrounds are beautiful, stunning designs but easy to mail too, even better! I have to admit I just hit the CC sale and have an order coming. I told my hubby I would open them up outside, then take them our of the package before I bring them in, not that any scare has been with mail...yet...but just to be safe, am I paranoid or what LOL, but too great a sale to ignore and thought they would cheer me up, my excuse anyhow. I do the ones with many pieces and honestly, not that bad at all, I die cut all pieces first then put them together and it goes pretty quickly that way, except when a piece magically disappears, probably stuck to the cat's static fur lol! Stay safe!
Both cards are just beautiful! And, your backgrounds are fabulous! Now I must admit, I like doing the waterspots but NEVER thought to use the thinned out ink splatter along with it ... what a great idea! See, I always learn something new from you! ALSO ... I would have never thought to use a color like the Seedless Preserves on a holiday card but it looks awesome! So there ya go ... I learned TWO new helpful tips today! You're always an inspiration ... hugs and please stay healthy!!
So fun Leslie! Love the colors you used for your winter wonderland Christmas cards!
So great that you are starting your Xmas cards. Love that die and the colors are perfect! I'm going to try this year to do better and make more Xmas cards.
Good for you already starting on Christmas cards. I love them both but the pink one is something I would never think to do but I will now. You are always an inspiration.
very nice. No way am I starting Xmas cards yet... Have a great day
Pretty oxide backgrounds, Leslie, bringing your darling snowman scene to new heights! Fantastic dimension with the darker edge behind! hugs, de
I love your cards and that is a beautiful die. I am like you. If too many parts in a die set I shy away as well.
WOW!! Leslie, what a delightful and beautiful pair of Christmas cards!!
The sponged skies are amazing, my favorite is the one with the Milled Lavender and chipped Saphire inks, your blending is spectacular, love it.
The die is as adorable as can be.
Thank you for sharing.
Stay safe and healthy, my friend.
XO
Don't you just love dies that do most of the cardmaking for you! Leslie, both cards are amazing, love how you created the backgrounds and the colours you used. I really like how you added a darker piece underneath for shadowing! CAS! Makes me smile! Thanks for sharing today, always love seeing what you create. Have a fabulous day as well, and stay healthy!
that's such a great die and your backgrounds are stunning. I love die's that allow you to make QCAS cards :)
LOVE your DOX backgrounds with your water drops and acrylic ink splatters. Perfect for your really merry and cute die cut Christmas border. How fun to add 2 more cards to your Christmas stash too. Love and Hugs..Stay safe, my friend.
I never thought I would look forward to Christmas so much... I'm a take each day at a time gal but I'm really hoping that all will be well by Christmas and we will all be safe... Fabulous cards and wonderful blending!
Wowza!!! Love what you made here and your blending is so perfect. So glad you would not ask us to decide which is our fave as I want both of these cards to show up in my mailbox!!!! I have to check out those dies not familiar with that brand. Hugs and be safe
Leslie, what a fabulous card. Love that border, so festive. Stay safe.
that is just too cute, love the backgrounds you are doing for these, nice layering too!!
Adorable, Leslie! I love the die and I love the pretty backgrounds you make, too. Good job of getting more Christmas cards made. I'm a bit behind on mine, and really haven't even started on my calendars:(
I just love how you've used these pretty dies, Leslie! And your backgrounds are beautifully done! Of course I love the splatters. I can't decide which medium works best for white splatters - I've tried gouache, and white acrylic paint. Both work better than my white watercolor.
Lovely seeing your cards and I totally agree with your sentiment! It's a hard time I think, for those of us who WISH we could help.
Awesome card set...I like how you added a shadow!!
Beautiful Christmas card love the dies and oxide backgrounds

Love these gorgeous, pigmented snowy backgrounds! They're very eye catching and steal the show. :) The snowmen are adorable too of course. Glad to hear that things are good so far in your county. Sending hugs to you!
