Little Frog and a Lotta Dots

I haven't given up on coloring, but a little break feels right for the time being.  I just need to play.  We're doing quite well at our house, staying home except for necessities and exercise.  We're social distancing and wearing our homemade masks when we go to the store.  That was one of my busy projects, sewing a few masks.  I no longer have a lot of sewing supplies (gave up for paper crafting), but I had just enough 1/4" elastic for four masks, which I made from old pillowcases.  Not so pretty, but functional.

Well, anyway, here's my very colorful and whimsical card that was hugely fun to design and simply makes me smile:

First of all, I want to mention that the reason the little brush is in the picture is because I used it to brush on the bit of blue around the frog.  Just a touch.  I didn't want to do the whole background.  The handy little brush was included in my set of Beauty Kate make up blending brushes.

The little girls next door will be turning 9, 5, and 3 yrs old this year and I'm all out of kids' cards, so I might as well start getting ready.  The frog is one of my 95 cent Cottage Cutz dies.  I didn't even know I needed him until I saw him.  He's only 2 parts -- the body and the eyes.  Easy peasy.  I thought he would look cute with the boots and umbrella.  The "hi" is three layers of black, and as you can see, I went dotty with everything else.

Are those boots cute, or what?  The boots and umbrella are a Frantic Stamper set.  I'll list everything below my signature.

My other reasons for making this card are:

Double D Challenge:  Banners and NBUS Challenge #13 (I'll make a pest of myself at NBUS because I'm on a mission to use all my never-before-used schtuff.)  The frog, dotted curve, and boots are all NBUS.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope to get caught up on my blog visiting soon.  Stay well!

Dies used on today's card:  Cottage Cutz Frog Mini, Paper Smooches Hello Words, Frantic Stamper Rainy Day Necessities, Poppystamps Dotted Curve, Memory Box Banner Parade

Fabulous card with Mr Froggy and all his fun details!! Love all the polka dots too (I have used pieces of that on my card today). I really~really want a pair of those garden boots, I LOVE them (mine are just an ugly plain black, I call them my snake boots). Such a fun card with fun dies! I got a bit of 'sunshine' in my mailbox the other day...thank YOU so much, it sure made my day. We are doing lots of work around here and have not left the house in over 3 weeks, I am trying to not let it get to me, but like all, I just want my life back, boring as it was, I still want it back to normal!!

No rain today...only gorgeous sunshine. We got up to 70 yesterday and worked outside all day;-) Looking like today will be a little warmer. I better get out to do my walk before it gets too warm:-) TFS your cute, cute card, my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy

That is so cute and I love all the wonderful pattern papers used to create it. I don't have any banners that I know of so have not done a card for the challenge at Double D's but I might try it if I find time. Today my arthritis is awful so not sure I can make my fingers do much.

I think this card is so cute. I'm sure the receipient will love it! The frog is adorable and I love the boots. My daughter and Jennifer have boots like these and they love them. I'm partial to pokadots so I love the rest of the card as well! I made a few masks for Joe and me as well. I saw a video somewhere taking a bandana and folding it and using hair ties and it's done. I had some around and they hold up very well. Just take them apart and wash the bandana and put them back together again. Have a blessed and safe EAster.

Like you, I gave alway almost all my sewing supplies and fabric. I can only hoard one kind of crafting hobby at a time, lol! Stay well and thanks for making me smile today.

Glad you guys are doing well and you were able to make a few masks. We used some snow jeeping masks we have, look like robbers from a movie. Feels wierd... but we are safe and only go out if needed. This card is darling. I like the die cuts and the fun sketch. Cute!
