Sweetest Thank You

Hello, friends!  I was beginning to wonder when I was going to get around to playing in my room again, but I did finally manage a little something.  It's simple and sweet and I love it to pieces, which reinforces my belief that simple is best when my mojo's gone missing.  If I don't have time to slow down, I won't do a good job with coloring anything complex.  In fact, I did color something, but I'm not thrilled with how it turned out, so I'll be going back to the drawing board on that one.  In the meantime, today's card makes me happy!

I've been at The Scrapping Cottage again, shopping for bargains in the retired and overstock categories.  Most of my Cottage Cutz dies are for Christmas, but this one kept calling me back until I finally dropped it into my cart.  I thought it made a cute thank you card.  The die set is Kitchen Chef.  Simple coloring was done with Copics.

More new things:  The green trim is Poppystamps Double Scallop Oval and Border, and the gingham card base is Park Lane printed card stock which I found at our local JoAnn's.  I was pretty thrilled with the card stock -- a pack of 5 different designs, 10 each, 110 lb weight.  I've already cut and folded every sheet.  That's a lot of cards!

I hope you all are having a good week.  As for me, I'm enjoying myself and will just have to let card making happen when it happens.  Thanks for dropping in today!

I Love seeing your new picks and how well they look when you put them on a card! I love this one, the pink paired with green gingham is exactly like what I picked when I first got my very own bedroom at age 13. And it's still sweet as ever!

I love your card and that die set is so awesome that I had to go right over and order that and a couple other things. I can see that as a great die for many occasions.

I can see why this die set jumped into your cart. I love the CAS design and layout of the dies each in the perfect place, and the little bit of shading.

Leslie, this is just too cute! You enabled me. I just had to follow your link to the Scrapping Cottage and oh boy! All dies! No stamp sets, but who would need them? I checked out the retired and overstock pages and believe me, it's a good thing I'm at work and my browsing time is limited. I might have been in trouble. Your card is just as sweet as can be. Thanks for sharing. Have a super week!

How immensely lovely. I adore the inclusion of classic gingham here. It ties into the theme of the vintage style apron to a tee. Gorgeous make!

Goodness, what a pretty card this is, the apron is just plain adorable and of course I absolutely love the gingham!! Such a pretty site to see in this cold and dreary weather! You have enabled me to look at their site, I normally wait until they have the 60 to 80% off sales, but darn it girl, you have sent me right over their...geesh!

I love this, too, Leslie! Your design and coloring make this so sweet and fun! I love that gingham behind the vintage apron because back then, weren't all our kitchen curtains gingham, or was that just me? Brings back memories! Now I'm off to shop, darn you!! Hugs, Darnell
