I've colored some sunshiny yellow Buttercups today. Scrolling through my Power Poppy digi files, looking for something I haven't colored in a while... suddenly this just seemed like the right thing to do -- sunshine in a cup! The digi stamp is Cuppa Buttercups. I lightened the image before printing, then watercolored with Tombow dual brush markers.
I love that I could make the image large enough to color easily, yet I still had room to play with paper, which is one of my favorite card making things to do. I mixed up four different patterns from an old DCWV Lemon Flower Stack -- a 12 x 12 pad and, yes, I have acres of it yet unused.
The sentiment on the front is one of three in the set. There's another one on the inside:
Well, that was fun! I hope I can stop back soon. There hasn't been a lot of time in my stamp room lately and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I must get back in the groove or who knows what will happen! A girl can only go so long... Wishing you a lovely day!

cool card design, and the colors are just simply wow love this.
This is such a gorgeously bright card, lovely colours Leslie you never fail to impress.xx
So happy to see your card today, just what I need a 'sunshine in a cup', I can almost feel the warmth! It's very wintery here this week, snow, grey skies and cold, brrrr. Your colouring is beautiful as always, and great job on fussy cutting this out! Love everything about this, lovely dp as well. As always I look forward to your next post when time permits! Have a wonderful weekend Leslie.
Very cheerful and I like the vibrant yellow. Very pretty Leslie.
Leslie, great summery card with your yellow flowers. You always inspire me to use DP, something I rarely think of and love the way you carried your design to the inside of the card :)
Aren't those citrusy colors in the background papers so beautiful with your sunshine in a cup? GORGEOUS card, Miss Leslie, and such sweet, delicate buttercups. The inside is just as pretty, especially with that sun loving daisy! Beautifully created. I've not see buttercups here in Florida, but we say the word a lot LOL Your vibrant primary blue cup is a wonderful contrast to the yellows instead of a blue sky. LOVELY! hugs, de
oh so pretty. Nice and sunny. Have a great day
so pretty, Leslie. I love what you did with the papers. and they work wonderfully with the pretty cup of buttercups.
Your sunshine in the cup is so beautiful and I love the water coloring. Beautiful yellows and blues together really make for a cheery combination!
I just have to say that seeing your card makes my day! The sun peeked out here a bit this morning to my delight, but the clouds and wind have taken over this afternoon. This card has all the things I love - your gorgeous coloring, my very favorite colors of blue and yellow vibrantly featured and a lovely tea cup! All wrapped up in pretty paper. Ahh.... a bit of heaven. Thanks, Leslie!
What a happy card! Rmember when we were little and picked buttercups and held them under our chin to see if you liked butter? Your cards always make me think of happy memories! I like the Big Bang Theory and Penny always asks Sheldon - What's up Buttercup! Your DSP matches so perfectly and makes me want to start looking for robins! We had snow today but Phil the groundhog says an early Spring - so we will see. Have a great weekend.
Such a pretty and sweet buttercup in a cup card design, Leslie. I love how you used 4 different DSPs with your design. Lovely sentiment too. Amazing Digi stamp design, my friend. Hugs..Nancy
It is a ray of sunshine, you have colored them up so pretty, a perfect match with your great papers, I like how you added one to the sentiment tag, great touch!
I agree it isn't good for use to be away from our crafting goodies for too long :) Have a great weekend!

What a welcome sight your card is this morning... We have a storm, and it's dull wet and very very windy. Seeing your beautifully painted buttercups in the bold blue cup with all that yellow and green is a joy!
Hi Leslie: I have this sweet image as part of a Power Poppy set called "Marcella's Mix Tape Vol. 2" (2014) that I need to play with again, I'm so happy Marcy is bringing back some of her past beautiful images.
The title of this post is just perfect for this sweet, cup full of cheer, those little sunshiny flowers can lift you up as soon as you open the envelope.
Your combination of Pattern papers is the best compliment to this beautiful image.
Hugs.
Maria.
So beautiful, Leslie! I know what you mean about withdrawal! I'm experiencing that myself. Hopefully I'll be having some time soon.
OH YES! Your beautifully colored card made me smile big time!! Love the yellow buttercups in this beautiful cobalt cup ... PERFECT!!! Thanks for adding a little sunshine to my gray day!
