Mandarin Wreath

Hooray, my first Christmas card of 2020!  I hope this simple card has finally broken the ice so I can get busy and make more.  I've been lagging.

The stamp I used is a digital from Power Poppy -- Wreath:  Boxwood and Cranberry.  However, my version is neither Boxwood nor Cranberry.  I chose to make it with the little Mandarin oranges that seem to be at their yummiest best around the holidays.

Seriously, look how simple this is to color.  It took minutes.  A person could make a bunch.  I printed in full strength gray scale on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copics.  It's not the least bit fancy schmancy, but that's just what I need right now.  The Mandarin wreath has a nice Christmasy warmth to it, don't you think?

I'm joining up with other Power Poppy designers today, and I encourage you to drop over to the Power Poppy Blog to see a variety of samples that are just pure eye candy.  It'll be fun!

Thank you so much for dropping in today.  I wish you all a nice weekend and hopefully I'll be back soon.  Take care!

I have this set, and what a fab idea to use mandarins. The color pop from the orange is so much more fresh than from reds. I'll have to remember this and case it.

Leslie, this is so pretty, just the warm glow around the wreath really makes the design so much more interesting. Simply beautiful!

This is so beautiful, Leslie! Not the typical image you expect to see on a Christmas card, but I love it. We always had a gift of oranges as a gift from friends while growing up. I love the simplicity and you can almost smell the oranges!

You have a Christmas card done for 202 already? You are an overachiever and an amazing artist. I am jealous, but motivated to make some too.

I'm in love with the mandarins and the warm color they bring to the card. It may have only taken minutes but it sure doesn't look it at all! Simply beautiful.

Oh Leslie, this is beautiful! I love that you did this as mandarins rather than cranberry. A very CAS card with a warm feeling to it. So simple yet elegant, it's perfect! Congrats on your first Christmas card of 2020. No worries about the lagging, I think we have all been there. It will come back! Enjoy your day!

Congratulations! This Christmas card may be simple, but it is stunning, Leslie! I love that you colored it like little Clementines, which happen to be really delish down here right now, too. Bonus! Enjoy your Sunday! Hugs, Darnell
